So you vet musical talent based on what now? Can you publish the complete list of criteria? For any future talent you book, should we scrutinize their views or sense of humor prior to coming to listen to their music? You might think I'm politically foolish and you'd be right - I've had many regrets about who I've supported in the past. But I'm thinking you have a tyrant for an investor and we know who I'm referring to. BTW - if you rebook John Stetch and he accepts, make your announcement on Rebel News and your place will be full and all will be forgotten. I was very disappointed to hear what you did.

Lively spot. The couple of visits I had were enjoyable overall. But they happen to deal with some extremely narrow minded and bigoted performers who love to cancel comedy and artistic expression based on spurious allegations.If the studio's stance is to stay away from politics, then stick to that standard consistently and let each performer's acts speak for themselves while on stage. Otherwise, it's very cowardly and hypocritical to lean into the cancel mob while turning a blind eye to the egregious and bigoted views held by members of said mob.What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Once you embrace cancel culture and give in to made-up accusations, there's no turning back from the fact that you are making it political.

Super intimate venue! The jazz show I saw was incredible! Members from Blue Rodeo playing jazz standards and “Suede” songs in a small room! The Jams were real! This historic venue is super special and I am glad that music and jazz are continuing. Fun fact the grad piano has been up there since it’s conception (1942). So it’s been played by all the greats. Super fun spot!

It’s great what this company has done with this space. The Penthouse is one of the few historic venues left in Vancouver and the upstairs space is so intimate, fun and cool to experience. Minimal bar, but friendly staff and quality music and comedy.

This small and intimate space is regaining its past aura with the amazing jazz shows being produced there. They also produce standup comedy shows. Do lookup the upcoming shows and go experience the venue located above a famous strip club - Tyrant Studios is not related to it in any other way, and also experience the amazing talents who come to this stage!
