Wow such nice people in this bakery the pastries are great the croissants are the best in the west endBeen living in the area all my life never knew it was there I will visit again thanks for all your hard work.

Delicious baked croissant goodies. I've been twice now with my husband and both times everything we tried was amazing (bacon quiche, macha filled, berry, etc). Will definitely be back! I highly suggest checking this place out!

If you are into French inspired baking you MUST check out Bakery Monte! By far the best croissants in the city. Everything is super fresh. Baked very morning. Top notch quality with super friendly service. Pop in when you are in the westend of the city. Its really worth checking it it out. One note to add: Check their hours of operation. :)

This little bakery appears to be focused on producing high-end French pastries - particularly croissants and croissant-dough pastries, which are difficult and expensive to make as they require large amounts of high-fat butter and take days to produce if you want to make them more like how it's made in France.I've tried their croissants, scones, canele, and savoury cream cheese filled croissant. They were all excellent, rich and extremely well made with quality ingredients and tastes fairly close to authentic. I would only suggest that maybe the scones do not need the coarse sugar sprinkled on top. Nevertheless the scones were delicious.Overall, I would rate their signature item (the croissant) AND their bakery as one of the very best in Toronto for what they focus on.A note on their pricing - it's very reasonable for what you are getting. Please don't compare with Tim Hortons ($1.49 for their smaller croissant")...Anyway

Located right across the plaza, you'll be attracted to this hidden gem with its amazing baking aroma. Various types of baked goods, coffees and ice cream! One of the best bakeries in the area, great quality of ingredients, freshness and service. We got the butter croissant and the almond croissant; they were flakey, fresh and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend stopping by here and grabbing a couple of baked goods, you CANNOT go wrong here

I was very excited to try out this bakery given very positive reviews. Unfortunately, it fell short from my expectations. We went ~30 minutes after bakery opens and picked up a range of pastries and bread. The brioche bread and scone were stale, many of the pastries were also too sweet to my liking. On a positive note, butter croissant was tasty and flaky.

Everything is so fresh and delicious. Whenever I stop by I get 1 of everything. Everyone on the job site is always blown away how good everything is.

This bakery is a true hidden gem. The staff are so kind and considerate! Superb quality and taste.

What a treasure to have this shop in our neighbourhood! My kids love the caramel steamer, as well as the madeline cookies.I've been working my way through all the various pastries (and there are a lot!) and haven't had a bad thing yet. Everything is fresh and flavourful, and there are so many unique options, like the churro croissant or lemon meringue cruffin.I love grabbing a loaf of their brioche on the weekend for french toast, and their dinner rolls are fantastic with soup, chili, and stews! (Or even just on their own, let's be honest!)I asked the owner to make some custom cinnamon buns for a special event I was attending, and he was very accommodating and they turned out amazing! Everyone ate them up and commented on how delicious they were.I feel like this location might be a challenge to bring in business, but I'm hoping the community supports Monte Bakery so that they can stay, as their service and products are amazing!
