Went for a tattoo as a memorial to my grandma who had passed 5 days prior. I sent an image of the tattoo I wanted and asked for a price. They gave me a good deal, and recommended their apprentice Ray for the specific tattoo I had requested.Appointment was booked for 5 pm, and said it shouldn't take more than an hour. I showed up at 5 pm, filled out the forms, and gave him the crossword I wanted the letters traced from. He spent another hour looking up how to make crosswords, drawing up the tattoo, changing it around, and putting it on. After all the adjustments I lost track of where the numbers were and one was placed in a wrong spot. He was shaking like crazy majority of the time, and had the other two employees there constantly asking when they would all be leaving to meet up with another friend of theirs for dinner.I feel as though he not only rushed, which made for mistakes with placement and precision, but he also left me with scar tissue from going over the same spot far too many times whole filling in the black boxes. The entire appointment took about 3 hours to complete, and he gave me $20 off the initial quoted price.I want to go get the splotchy parts fixed but at this point I'm worried that I'll just leave with more uneven line work and more scar tissue... This is fully healed and the second picture is what I had requested (with my recently passed grammas letters inscribed in the boxes, which was the only part I was super happy with) :/

I already had the owl, it was terribly done by another artist at a different shop. I hated it and for years I looked for someone who could finish it/fix it, I finally heard of The Inkery and I'm so glad I went! I'm very happy with the changes made and things added to the tattoo! It was a great experience and I would go back for more work any day!

Went in for a nose piercing and the lady was very friendly and thorough with what she was going to do and made me feel very comfortable. She was very professional and I will be going back to have her switch out my piercing when the healing process is over. Highly recommend this place for piercings.

Mic is an amazing artist, very personable. Ray helps with ideas and putting what you want together. Fair prices too. I will definitely be back for more work! The ankh was done 14 years ago by a friend. The names and dates done today.

Unprofessional. They shared a chat exchange on Facebook with a customer who simply wanted an answer about his deposit. They belittled him by repeatedly posting a cookie cutter response. It all could have been avoided by just being polite and kind. But instead, tried to make a fool of what was going to be a paying customer.

I went there for my first tattoo last summer and was treated with no respect. I was told my choice of tattoo was too “girly” to begin with. It was rushed because the artist wanted to go for a outside for a smoke. I felt unable to move my placement of my tattoo without seeming like a nuisance and I had no plastic wrap protecting that tattoo put on after it was finished so it bled through my clothes and faded a lot easier. In the end I was over changed and left very un-happy and needed to spend more money at another tattoo parlour to get it fixed.

Khanh did my tattoo. It was a large floral piece around my waist. Photos to come. AMAZING artwork. Professional to a tee. Highly recommend seeing him for your next piece! If you’re new to Kenora give yourself a bit of time to find the shop as it is kind of tucked away!

Got a cover up done by Kahn- I absolutely love it! We started it back in December before the Christmas lock down, and I've been antsy to get it finished. The booking of the follow up appointment kept getting pushed back because of the continuing lock downs, but he contacted me one afternoon last week and within an hour I was sitting in the hot seat.If you plan on getting ink Kahn is the kid to go to! Love the location and the studio's atmosphere.FYI: the studio is on back side of Main Street, next door to the oil and vinegar place. I find it easier to park on Bernier Dr.
