Not friendly for non-chinese, rude to others. A chinese couple came in after me, but was greeted with full smile in their faces. I was still eating when my plate was dished out without even asking if it's okay to get it. I was at the counter to pay, then a waitress shoved me without saying excuse me" as she passed through. Staff should learn to be more welcoming."

I had the rice in a ceramic pot, and it was served with 2 different flavour. I chose barbecue pork (marinated in fish sauce) and steamed meat loaf. Both were good and the price was very reasonable.

Duotian Fish Soup Noodles Restaurant
Not much was still open at 9pm (on a weekday) so we were appreciative that this restaurant welcomed our business 20mins before they close. The food came out super quickly. The noodle soup was decent, packed with ingredients, and exactly what we needed to fill us up. The congee was also packed with ingredients. I suspect lots of MSG were used for both dishes as I was quite thirsty after the meal. Service was great, and tables felt clean.

An incredible Chinese restaurant with great food and drinks, and awesome service.My friends introduced me to this restaurant and the food here blew me away. The special vegetarian fried rice is made really well, with unique ingredients like squash, and other good choices like corn, egg, mushroom, carrots and a lot more.The drinks at this place are worth trying as well, with the cold lemon ice tea which comes with a whole lemon sliced which can be squished into the drink, with a strong tea flavor.Definitely worth trying if you're into Chinese food or love a good ice tea. Service here is really good too.

This place is becoming my favorite sit in cheap eats in Vancouver. They offer a variety of foods from soup noodles, claypot rice (my fav), western breakfast, congee...and the prices are reasonably cheap! In comparison, deer garden has been raising their prices every couple months, this place still cheaper than deer garden by a buck or two. The claypot rice takes around 20mins for the cooking process but I guarantee you the wait is worth it. I call it rice gold: the crispy rice sitting at the bottom of the claypot is the best part of the whole rice dish. We came back to try their breakfast option too. I wish we lived closer LOL #cheapeatsapproved and it's so rarely for an Asian restaurant to accept CREDIT card!!! Super recommend!

Like everyone else here has said, service here is bad, and this is from someone who usually doesn't care much for service. Waitresses are rude, impatient, pushy and argumentative. However the worst thing about this place is the dishonesty and trickery. If you order a fish noodle soup, you make ingredient selections on a card. The card is misleading as it doesn't mention certain items cost additional than the quoted all-in price. To know what items cost additional, you have to go back to the main menu. So you need to reference both the menu for the prices (additional or not) and pick your ingredients on the card which is separate from the menu. Why not explicitly tell us which ingredients cost extra on the ingredients card itself? I can only guess this is to reduce transparency and make you pay more than you wanted. We pointed out this problem to the waitress but they were unapologetic and defensive. Will never support a restaurant that is out to gorge customers, even just for a few bucks.

Went here for lunch, the prices seemed great so we checked it out. We both ordered our meals at the same time, my girlfriend got her meal first, it took about 40 minutes for me to get mine after she received hers. One of the waitresses was rude when we tried asking for small bowls, she just slammed them on our table and stormed off.

I was attracted by Duotian’s affordable breakfast many years ago. But inadvertently, I haven’t been there for a while. Passing by that area a couple of days ago, I wanted to reminisce about the breakfast there. I ordered the mini steak & egg and pork & preserved vegetables with vermicelli in soup. The portion is large, and I like their noodle soup very much. Many choices of breakfast, including a hot drink, cost $10.95. The cost of food is soaring today, and this price is very reasonable. I am very satisfied with their breakfast and services.

No wonder so many bad reviews about the waitress services. It is definitely one of the worst services restaurants. One of the waitress just terrible. When I was try to clarify a dish order. She did not replied , and I repeated my question, want to be sure if she understand . Then She was so upset. Her eyes were full of anger, I felt she was about to kick me out. This may be my last time dinning here., Was not sure if she read my review while I was still eating. She came out and apologize. And I told her, we all can do better. Food are not bad., I was given them a one star review since she apologized. I moved up to 3 stars. Give them a chance.
