I have been here twice and got tattooed by Suzie and Robyn both apprentices and they were amazing! Super professional and super friendly. Would highly recommend! The receptionist Britney was lovely as well :)

2 bad experiences, both for the same reason.First tattoo I got done here got quoted on 1.5h ($240), ended up taking 2h40m, as stenciling was done incorrectly twice (artist told me she's always hates this part, which is not very comforting when you're getting something on your body for the rest of your life).Yes I was 10 minutes late and payed for this time. Ended up paying $430.50, which is $190 more than originally quoted. Was told she is usually very accurate with her quotes and this never really happens.Requested for a refund or store credit, as I was not dissatisfied by the results. Was granted $100 store credit, but still overpaid $90.Now I wanted another tattoo of a similar size and design, was quoted on 2 hours ($320). First of all, had to wait an hour for the appointment, which can happen. Same artist, so clearly told how I wanted the tattoo placed, still stenciling went wrong the first time. During the tattooing, she told me it was very hard, because she had done a lot of line work today and was a bit tired. Again a comment that does not comfort me at all, and honestly I find incredibly unprofessional, and it feels like I'm paying extra now for having an appointment late afternoon instead of early morning. Took 2h45m and ended up paying $462 which is $222 over what I was quoted on.I understand quotes can't be exact on the minute, but if you are off by $190 and $222, and I have to wait an hour for my appointment (meaning the client before me probably also took longer than quoted) your quotes are simply not accurate or clearly the artist is not fully competent.Being from Europe, the fact tattoo's here really go on time, instead of agreeing on a price beforehand is already weird enough for me, but when you get a quote and end up paying almost double both of the times, I just feel like I'm massively getting screwed over here...

While I am happy with the work that was done by Andrey and the atmosphere and cleanliness of the shop I feel like I was mislead on pricing. My husband and I went for a same day finger tattoo. We were told they would take an hour to do both and the artist charges $130/hr. So we were under the impression it would work out to about $65 for each tattoo. Wrong. When we got to reception it was clarified that we would each pay the $130/hr charge so we ended up paying about $300, after a tip, on 2 1.25” finger tattoos. On top of that they are having a promo sale for 15% off on walk in appointments when you mention the code in your “booking/check in” which we did mention in our booking email, but not at check in so we did not qualify. If it’s required to mention at the code at both times put more specific wording such as “mention the code at time of booking AND time of check in” the slash to me means one or the other. Not both. Overall, the quality is good but pricing seems extreme and clouded. Also, seems weird to not be provided with a tattoo aftercare sheet.

Arhat is a wizard with the ink. I had a fantastic experience starting on my sleeve with him, and I'm looking forward to future visits. The tattooing was done smoothly, the healing process is easy, and the result speaks for itself. Beautiful shading, detail, and overall something I'll be proud to wear on my sleeve. I HIGHLY recommend this shop.

Got fun little matching tattoos with my friend today and Suzie was great. She was friendly, professional, and did a great job. The only reason I didn't leave a five star review for the studio is because the manager or owner (not sure of their official title) barged into the room in the middle of my tattoo to tell my artist where the new broom would be located and ask her to breakdown a bunch of boxes before she left today. Not only did I feel like this was degrading to my artist, but it made me feel like me and my tattoo were not important or valued enough to discuss the closing duties outside of my appointment time. This was not an end of day appointment either.

I had a great experience at Royal Tattoo Calgary. I have a bad pain tolerance and can be quite triggered by pain. If you're looking in the $150-$175 range than definitely go see Irene! She is so accommodating and always listened when you needed a break. For the $100-130 range Vadym is another amazing artist. Highly impressed and will definitely be back! I got matching tattoos with my bestie and Yohan did a phenomenal job. We got a mocern double helix and the line work is beautiful

Did a walk in appointment same day with Paco. His quality is amazing, exactly what I was looking for! The environment walking in was friendly and service was quick. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

One of the cleanest tattoo shops I've ever been in. Great service, super accommodating and tattoo artists did a great job for my friend and I on our matching tattoos. Will be back to Royal Tattoo!!

I had two tattoos done with Suzie last week. I have already gotten many compliments on her work. Absolutely incredible artist, made sure I was calm and comfortable the entire time, took her time to answer questions and made it a great experience. Will absolutely come back to get more!Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, atmosphere was super clean and inviting.
