Terrasse St-Ambroise
This place is a fantastic beer garden with a delicious hard apple cider on tap and a view of the mysterious pink house. It’s perfectly located for bike access from the path along the canal. I was able to easily travel here from Vieux Montreal with a BIXI bike.

Super ambience, good beer, awesome pizza. There are many different seating areas, something for everyone, sun or shade; bar-, restaurant- or picnic table, open or cozy area. And right next to the lock by the Lachine Canal, to go for a stroll before or after enjoying food and drink. Recommended!

Very strange place, no waiters - self service. We came on a Wednesday evening - a lot of people, I'm not sure if it's very good, because people were crowding everywhere waiting for a free place. The pizza was disgusting, not tasty at all, burnt and with long hair inside - absolutely not the topping I expected. The tables were very wobbly and dirty. Two stars for a good beer and a very helpful bartender who explained in great detail how everything works.

Nice place to chill with friends after a bike ride. My friends enjoyed the beers and pizzas. I greatly appreciated the new summer salad: very tasty and fresh!Downside is that you need to order and pick up for yourself. Also, it was very windy and somehow a weird fish smell would invade the place.

I haven't experienced such elegant service and the food is amazing too. The food was so delicious I had to order the pizza and the burger. Both were phenomenal. The price isn't too much either. The patio is very airy and comfortable. Overall, good vibe, great staff, fantastic service. Good company. And a variety of beer too. I rate a lot of places 5/5 stars, but this is one of the few places I want to rate 6/5. Truly an experience unparalleled in the Montreal area. I highly recommend it.

Let me start with the positives: St. Ambrose has a great ambiance, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The outdoor seating area is lovely, with plenty of seating options and a fantastic view. The beer selection is also quite good, with a variety of brews that will appeal to most beer enthusiasts. However, my experience was marred by some significant problems. On a busy weekend day, when the terrace should have been prepared for high customer traffic, I found that there were very few staff members present. This resulted in long waits for service, and a lack of supplies, including things like napkins and utensils.Additionally, the food preparation was subpar. I ordered a burger, which arrived overcooked and dry. My friend's salad also looked like it had been sitting out for some time, and was not very fresh.Overall, while I enjoyed my time at St. Ambrose, the poor preparation and lack of staff and supplies were significant issues that detracted from my experience. I would still be willing to visit again, but I hope that these problems are addressed and improved upon in the future.

Very nice place! Two bars, nice food, GREAT PIZZA, enough tables and an open space, next to the Lachine Canal. Pricing is fair. There is parking next to the terrase and also there was enough on the street. Free. I spotted families with kids. I was a great discovery!

I visited the Terrasse ages ago back when it was a couple of janky picnic tables and porta-potties. It has changed so much - and for the better! Such a great space to grab a beer and bite. Plenty of space, sunshine, and shade. Hard to beat.

This place used to allow dogs :( The terrace and outdoor space is amazing. The food is not greatI will no longer go there as there is other terraces/microbreweries nearby that allow dogs.We won’t continue to support establishments like these that don’t stand up to the MAPAQ. I suggest others do that same.

If you can work remotely, here's a beautiful patio for you. Bring your portable chargers and WiFi hotspots and enjoy a 5 à 7 from 9 to 5.Great vibe for afterwork drinks and snacks with friends. The burger is filling and absolutely delicious. If you're into breweries, this is for you. Most of the beverages on the menu are locally brewed (read: made in the brewery right behind you). Open from noon to 11pm with a great breeze from the waterfront and chill music to set the mood. Free parking and friendly staff on site too.
