Chris was very helpful and informative! Very easy to contact and responsive to questions. Pick up and drop off were easy and flexible in working with my travel needs. I over booked a day and Chris was understanding in refunding me a full days fee.The Nimbus was an awesome vehicle that enabled me to reach trail heads most vehicles could not.Roof top tent was convient and easy to use. Will definitely book Pacific Backroader again the next time I visit BC.

It's been a few months since I had my experience with Pacific Backroader, but it's been on the back of my mind to share what a great experience I had renting with them.Our rental period ended up taking place in the middle of the fire season this year, but we still managed to make a very memorable trip by leafing through the provided backroads mapbook, picking some spots and just getting out on the road for some adventure! From start to finish, Chris was super communicative, the vehicle was in great condition, and the dropoff/pickup process was a breeze!I highly recommend booking with Pacific Backroader, you'll be well taken care of!

We had a great time with the camping equipment we rented for our 4 weeks camping trip through BC and Alberta. Everything was high quality and good taken care of. On top of a 2 Person BYOC kit we also had two light weight chairs which was really convenient at some camping spots :). Chris and Britt were really helpful and had some nice tips for our trip. We highly recommend to use there camping sets for a flexible and affordable camping experience.

Pacific Backroader tent rental process was very smooth and helpful for our first camping experience. One tip for the business that we want to suggest is to create/ search a video link readily available to the renters thus they can follow the video link to set up the new units that they haven’t used before. It took us awhile to figure out how to set up the tent but the condition of the unit was very good and clean that we really enjoyed out first experience of nights out in tent :)) thank you!

Fantastic owners, super capable vehicle, super friendly service, definitely shows that the owners started this business so that they can share the ability to go on these adventures.I've gone overlanding multiple times with friends, but never overnight trips. Thanks to Chris and Britt, I was able to do so. They are absolutely amazing, answering every question that I had regarding Black Tusk, and very swiftly too! Even when arriving to pick up the 4Runner, they took their time to ensure that we understood how everything worked, how to set everything up and put everything away. They really make sure you understand how to do everything, so you don't waste time on your trip trying to figure things out.When on the way back, we ran into some traffic and was going to be late returning Black Tusk. A quick call to them and they were super understanding! I don't think I've used any rental company in Vancouver that is nicer.I'm definitely sure I will be renting Black Tusk again for another adventure soon.

I can’t speak more highly of Pacific Backroader. Chris and Brittany were awesome and the check-in and checkout was very smooth. Brittany answered our phone call professionally and punctually about which route we should take on our trip. The truck had all the bells and whistles we could hope for and was the perfect tool to make the most of our vacation. I would recommend Pacific Backroader to anyone that wants to discover all that British Columbia has to offer.

Super easy, good package, great communication, really fair pricing! We got everything we needed for our 3 week roadtrip and the service was great! Would definitely recommend Pacific Backroader to anyone who wants to go camping in Canada but doesn't have their own camping gear.

We decided to take Black Tusk out for a weekend because there were a couple places we really wanted to see, but our car had no chance of getting us there. We picked the vehicle up that was very clean, and stocked with practically everything that you need to head out camping for the weekend.Chris and Brittany were very helpful in also suggesting to us some great spots in the area to check out for secluded camping.We had an amazing weekend cruising some rough roads, and camping and some of the most epic campsites we have ever been to all thanks to this beast of a vehicle! Also, the rooftop tent has the comfiest mattress ever built-in for some amazing nights of sleep.

I used the WhatsApp feature on their website to communicate a request for a custom package. They were very kind and accommodating, and even offered to have my equipment picked up along with my friends' request. All three of us were extremely happy with the quality and upkeep of the gear we were using.I cannot imagine our 5-day road trip would've been anywhere near as fun without the services Pacific Backroader provides. I highly recommend this spot!

Absolutely amazing experience using Pacific Backroader's ultralight backpacking gear.The pack included hiking poles, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, pillow, and Jetboil and it only weighed 8 pounds!The sleeping bag was super cozy and kept me warm in the 3 degree temps.Will definitely use this pack again for overnight/multi day hikes.
