Wow, I didn't know I could look like that!I'm the type of person who gets very nervous and this was way outside my comfort zone. Even thinking about it now, I can feel my shoulders tense up.I'm so glad I pushed myself to do a photoshoot with Laurie. She has a great sense of humour and an easy-going nature so she was able to calm my nerves and I had a lot of fun!I got to see the images right away – there were so many great shots! And her finished products were so gorgeous!For someone who doesn't wear makeup, it was so cool to see the transformation and see myself in a new light. I even got glamourous eyelashes - ooh-la-la!I know I'll love these photos even more as the years go on.

I was impressed with Laurie's creative vision and the precise direction she provided to achieve it. Her attention to detail while session planning gave me confidence in her process. I had been nervous going into this experience, even though I had seen Laurie's work and admired the beautiful photographs she had taken of people I knew. I'm so glad we (eventually) picked a date and moved forward. I love the pictures Laurie created and am so glad I didn't let this opportunity pass me by.

For years I had wanted a photo of myself that captured the woman I had become and Laurie recently made that bucket list dream a reality. I am so fortunate to have met Laurie who I believe is just The Best portrait photographer in Calgary. Laurie made the entire experience relaxing, comfortable and fun the minute I walked into her studio. With her attention to planning and details, we were prepared for a great session and my photos are amazing. Laurie brought out the beauty and confidence that I always knew I had but just needed an opportunity to show it.
