Love our kayaks! I recently bought the Spirit kayak which is one of the longer kayaks they sell. I'm very happy with it. We also bought the Ripple which also did not disappoint! Would recommend Adventure Outfitters to anyone. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Emily was one of the staff that we dealt with and she was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we asked with truth and clarity. Great experience!

Had a rental booked with another company who canceled due to no stock the morning of my trip. Called Adventure Outfitters who was more than happy to meet my request of a Kevlar canoe. Paid for the rental over the phone. When I arrived I was greeted by happy staff who helped me through the process of load the canoe on to my truck and offered some good pointers for strapping in the canoe. Amazing service, I was so pleased with everything. They will definitely be my first call from now on for canoe rentals and outdoor gear.

Getting better all the time. Lots of helpful products to make your nature excursion safe and enjoyable. My wife loves their hat selection for her outdoor adventures. With canoe rentals suitable to run Eels Creek or area lakes and rivers, it is an accessible location for pick-ups or drop-offs. Definitely worth checking out!

Abusive rental conditions. Avoid unless you're planning to canoe in your bathtub. We got charged 170$ of repair fees (a week later without any notice) for a super tiny rash (<1cm) on the canoe we rented there. Anyone who has been canoeing knows that it's impossible to avoid minor rashes to the hull especially when doing portage. When we dropped off the canoe, they complained that we were at least the 4th client that day to bring back a damaged canoe. Guys, you are renting canoes designed for portage. Shouldn't you question your absolutely unreasonable expectations or at least warn your customers about those before letting them rent your equipment? Your terms and conditions say that you can charge your clients' credit card without any notice if the canoe is damaged excepting normal wear and tear". Edit: 4 weeks still no refund.Leaving a bad review is a first for me anywhere, and since this is a business I've made every sports purchase I've made in the last 10 years it makes it harder...butYou cannot take a $2,400 cash/debit deposit on a rental that was returned the same day, keep the $2,400 for over a week (still not returned, not sure if I will get it back so Police are now involved) and blame it on your bank. I contacted your bank and they reported that you had not provided records of the refund and had made no effort to resolve the matter with them. Your bank advised me to contact you about the matter.I came to your store calmly explained that it had been a week and I expected you to resolve the mater. To tell me you had made no effort to contact the bank" to find out where the money went and state "it is out of your hands" and then treat a long time customer like they are the criminal

I just want to say AO have been nothing but helpful in a cross country ski rental. We have a couple sets of skiis booked and the weather is terrible today. They (Emily) offered us an extended rental or a credit for a rental at a later time. Hopefully, we can pick up and use our ski rental tomorrow, if not, I know AO will make things right, which quite honestly, the weather is not their problem. Love supporting local businesses. Thanks.

Bought a couple of kayaks from here in 2020 and we get compliments on them a lot! I ordered the Ripple kayak, which is awesome for storage and stability, and someone I know ordered a Spirit kayak, which is great for going faster in the water. We picked the coloration of our kayaks and I added on a watertight storage compartment on the Ripple that has been super useful on our kayaking adventures. I love that my kayak looks pretty unique compared to other standard kayaks out there. Emily was super helpful during the whole purchasing, drop-off and setup for strapping them to the car. She offered to show us how to strap them onto our car in person. Very friendly and passionate about outdoor recreation. Would highly recommend!

Staff is super chill and laid back going here is like going to the canoe shack at camp. The staff is super knowledgeable Clair even predicted (given our experience) the approximate time we would likely reach our campsite. Great price canoe rentals
