Mei's Chinese Restaurant, located in the heart of Kerrobert, offers a satisfactory dining experience if you're craving North American-style Chinese dishes. As it is a small town there aren't much options but While it may not be the best Asian place in town, it manages to deliver decent flavors and fills the void when you're yearning for familiar classics. One aspect that could use improvement at Mei's is their menu, especially on Buffet Sundays. It would be great if they introduced a rotation of dishes to avoid the repetition of the usual deep-fried options like Ginger Beef and Chicken Balls. Adding more variety and exploring different flavors would elevate the dining experience and cater to a wider range of tastes.Furthermore, Mei's could benefit from enhancing its interior to create a more authentic Asian restaurant atmosphere. Incorporating key art pieces, decorations, or cultural elements would help transport diners to a different setting and enhance their overall experience. A thoughtful ambiance can significantly contribute to the enjoyment of a meal, and Mei's could capitalize on this opportunity to elevate their establishment. As a family-owned business, it is understandable that Mei's may face limitations in terms of resources and staffing. However, expanding their team and hiring additional help could be a positive step towards growth. Increased support would allow them to focus on providing better service, ensuring that guests receive prompt attention and have a more pleasant dining experience.TLDR; I Mean this in the nicest way possible to help improve the dining experience of everyone. Mei's Chinese Restaurant in Kerrobert may not be the top choice for an authentic Asian dining experience. However, if you're seeking familiar North American-style Chinese dishes, it can satisfy your cravings. With some improvements to their menu rotation, interior decor, and staffing, Mei's has the potential to evolve into a more vibrant and enjoyable establishment.

Food is mediocre at best, in comparison to the Asian restaurants in Saskatoon. Get their buffet or else you'll wait forever for food. Small menu but there some good items.

Decided to take my girlfriend there for supper. Huge mistake ! The place is filthy no hot water to wash your hands properly no AC and 30 C outside and just as muggy inside. 6$ for 3 spring rolls out of the microwave. The meal was chicken fried rice chicken balls chowmein all of it was left over from whenever & reheated & brought to the table within 5 mins of ordering ! The department of health has been notified! My boyfriend paid because he didn't wanna make a scene. Yet they never asked what was wrong w the food even though we paid & left without ever having more then 2 bites !! In a word ,,disgusting !!

Some of the food seemed like it was a day old, reheated and served. Other stuff seemed freshly cooked and delicious. Friendly staff. I happen to like the un-updated interior, reminds me of my childhood traveling with family and always stopping in small towns to eat

Food was great, can't beat the price!Grabbed a pickup order, as I was traveling with the dog, so I couldn't eat in.Ordered the Dinner for One, with chicken balls and mixed veggies/beef. Portion size was enormous for 10.99, and the food was delicious and cooked to order - HOT!Fried rice was pretty basic, good tummy filler. Chicken balls were generously battered, crisp, with a delicious, tangy sauce that was better than your average neon orange sweet & sour.Beef & veggies were great, mostly celery/cauliflower, but good all the same. Also had a spring roll - possibly the most delicious part of the meal, nice size, and fried to a beautiful golden brown. Would recommend, for sure.Wonton soup was basic, but just what I was craving. 5 or 6 wontons in a nice golden broth. Portion size was a little small, but the price was right for it. Would have paid more for a medium size, but certainly didn't need a large.Decor was dated, but everything looked very clean.Ready fast, about ten minutes after I called in my order, and the staff was very friendly.
