Cates Park Boat Ramp
This is the best run boat launch on the North Shore. There’s usually ample parking and several launch lanes to get your toys in and out of the salt. Everything is clean and there is usually lots of dock space if you get past the crabbers.

It was nice quiet take the dog next time. Just to let dog owners know. There were dogs who ate poisonous mushrooms. They are small and hidden in the grass. I just found out that these dogs died quite quickly. There is nothing a vet can do. I'm not sure what the mushroom is called. I took my dog straight to the water. No trails ...

Lots of little boats and kayaks being launched. Always a breezy spot on the inlet. Caretakers keeping up with users. Looks nice and tidy.

Great boat launch, can accommodate 5-6 boats at a time. Great dock for tying up and loading boat. Great area to crab.

Good boat launch facility here, it has 5 landed IiRC. On a extreme low tide it can be a problem to launch from though as it flattens out at the end. There is a fee for loaning which covers the boat launch cost. The dock is great too and allow for a good number of boats, but again, the ramp down can be a very steep climb at low tide, people with limited ability may find it hard to get up or down

This place is getting busier and busier. They need to extend out the deck to accompany more boats. Sometimes there are so many ppl crabbing on the deck boaters can't dock. The parking fee with trailers are going up and up every year and 3hr time limit for regular parkings.
