Was finally able to visit this new Korean Chicken restaurant called bb.q Chicken Lemon in Southland Crossing and it was worth the wait!.The menu is uncomplicated, very unpretentious really but the food was incredible! I’ve visited a few Korean Fried Chicken places in the city but this eatery has got to be one of my favourites..We had:*Crunch Prawn Stick (4 pcs), $9 - WOWZA and YUMZA! Very flavourful and true to its name, very crunchy! It came with a couple of dipping sauces. I loved the spicy garlicky, aioli type sauce. I didn’t try the other one.*Chicken Fried Rice, $16 - This was good! It was served on a sizzling hot plate. This needs to be eaten right away while hot and we did devour it like there was no tomorrow.*Cheese Bul-Dak, $19 - FIERY but ohhhh so good. I had to stop after a couple of bites.*Golden Fried Chicken, $19 - YUMZA and WOWZA! one of my favourites of the night. It’s the restaurant’s signature chicken dish. Juicy and superbly crunchy!*Soy Garlic Chicken, $20 - WOWZA and YUMZA and my favourite of them all. Perfectly sauced and yet the texture and the crunch and the juiciness of the chicken remained even after a few minutes.*Gangnam Chicken, $20 - YUMZA! The spicy and sweet glaze made this one a winner.*Mala Hot Chicken, $20 - FIERY! The mala sauce was just too much for me! But my friends said it was really good too.*Lemon Cheesling Chicken, $20 - WOWZA and YUMZA! My 3rd favourite of the night. The boneless fried chicken pieces were powdered mascarpone and cheddar cheesling and coated with their signature lemon sauce.*Spicy Dukk-Bokki, $13 - WOWZA! It was spicy too but this one I was able to handle. This was perfectly done. The sauce was very delicious yet restrained..The lady at the counter was very welcoming and friendly and very efficient. The owners came to our table and both very welcoming. It was almost closing time so even the young cook came out and told us information about the dishes..Will definitely come back again!

Best Korean food; best staff. The place has a homey ambiance.

My daughter and I randomly saw this place and decided to grab a bite. First time there and it was so great. The Lemon chicken and secret sauce chicken was so amazing, we did a half order of each. My daughter and I loved the atmosphere, the music was great, and the service was sweet. Also, it’s a must to try the chocolate cheese balls…. Incredible.

The gf and I ordered the “secret sauced”, “soy garlic” chicken, French fries with spicy mayo, “cheeseling” fries with a side of rice. We both really liked our meals and noticed that the service was great. Our server was super nice. The location is clean and we got our orders quickly as well. The only quarrel we had was that for the bone-in chicken pieces, they were quite small (2 pieces were even flats). The price however is fair for what we ordered.

Had a sudden mysterious yearning for fried chicken, so set out into the world only to decide to pop in here because it's close to my house. Got the fried chicken burger with secret sauce because I didn't want to spend too too much and it's just me, so didn't need too much food. The person at the front was so helpful and explained all the choices well. Only had to wait a couple minutes and got home with the burger, it was HUGE and DELICIOUS. Not only was the fried chicken great and the sauce yummy, but there was lots of crisp fresh lettuce and the tomato was ripe and juicy. The sauces were super good too! The quality of the entire thing was excellent and I'll definitely be back. Also, turns out it's the same chicken place as in Crash Landing on You, but my annoyance at being tricked by product placement has disappeared in the face of such good food. Thanks bbq chicken!!

The quality of the food at this restaurant is exceptional and delicious. We were greeted by Ms. Joyce, who welcomed us with a warm smile and made us feel at ease. Additionally, she kindly offered us some complimentary dishes, for which we are very grateful. This restaurant provided us with a comfortable and pleasant experience, especially after a long day of our exams. It is worth noting that the chicken served here is the best in Calgary. We express our appreciation and will definitely come back again!

The service was great, friendly staff and so helpful. The chicken burger tastes amazing and it is really big!! the fried chicken was good too. The salad was nice but not wow and the coleslaw was alright but not the best.Overall great experience and would definitely recommend it!

My first of many delicious meals at this spot! The menu is simple and unassuming with an exceptional array of BBQ and fried Chicken options. Ordered the fried chicken burger (special sauce) for a quick lunch with the cheesling fries and never have I been more satisfied with the crispiness and crunch of everything! AMAZING. I’m absolutely in love with this place and I cannot wait to try and eat everything here. A+++ if I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.
