The staff was very friendly and great conversationists. They served us quickly and the food was very tasty. My husband and I had an overall great experience and the place was serene and not overly packed. I would highly recommend this place for a more authentic feel and food.

Nice eats! Came here because I saw some positive reviews on Google, and they were right! Not going to lie, I was a bit suspicious about getting Japanese food in Niagara and my expectations were pretty low, but the food actually tasted pretty good and well seasoned. The store is a bit run down and I don’t think you’ll notice it much at first unless you are specifically looking for it. The staff were friendly and nice as well. Overall, I had a great time and I definitely recommend coming here next time you go to Niagara Falls.

Great food. Meat is fresh, tea is good and the price is definitely reasonable. The staffs are also super accommodating. Love it. Highly recommended

This is where you should go if you're in Niagara falls and looking for something more humble rather than the fast food restaurants and tourist traps nearby.Their tempura is authentic and perfectly crispy and their sushi is great (although they put wasabi in most of the options, so if you don't really like wasabi like me you might be a little disappointed. this is not mentioned on the menu and apparently they don't allow you to make modifications to menu items). I liked that they put properly thick and sizable slices of fish on my nigiri unlike the tiny ones most sushi places in Canada give you. The spicy crunchy Salmon roll was great and used (I believe) hot sauce instead of spicy mayo which was a surprise but a very welcome one. For those who don't like wasabi or hot sauce, the yam tempura roll had neither and was very good.Service was okay, it wasn't terrible or anything but it was a little bit on the slow side and not as friendly as other Japanese restaurants often are. Some might find this preferable as it does create a more low-key atmosphere. Speaking of which, the atmosphere is lovely. The place is very cute and subverts the stereotype of sushi restaurants being overly fancy (read: fussy). It doesn't take itself too seriously which is nice. After all, it's definitely a bit off the beaten path and can seem a little bit run down, but this only adds to its charm. As far as the price goes, it's quite reasonable for good authentic sushi. I splurged on a la carte sushi but they do offer sushi combos and decent meals for cheaper (though I can't speak for their portion sizes)

The worst experience in a Japanese restaurant. We asked for two sets of saba shioyaki. They came up with one saba and one salmon. After talking to two different waitresses, the manager came with the salmon shioyaki and told us that we can have saba shioyaki but they are going to charge us for the salmon shioyaki which we didn't order. In the end, we let them leave the salmon shioyaki on the table just because we were very tired of more arguments after the 8 hours drive from the US. When we look closer at the salmon shioyaki, we realized that the dish is very dry and overcooked. No adding water and no taking away empty plates. Zero service! We tip 13% and left. Very disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised about this place, especially in Niagara Falls. When we walked in, it looked like there were a lot of locals. The owner was very warm and friendly in his check-ins with us.Their sashimi lunch sets even have blue fin tuna! The fish is fresh, and the rice bowls are very filling and comforting. The spicy salmon roll is crunchy and light on the sauce which was a nice change. They also provide hot matcha tea which is perfect for a cold winter day.Would highly recommend. Arigato for the lunch!

The servers are very polite and accommodating. They compensated for the small servings of the restaurants and the over price of their food. It is not all that bad but I wouldn’t recommend this to those who have a lot of experience in Japanese restaurants, because you might be disappointed.

I visited this place during my Niagara Falls trip and my friends and i were looking for a restaurant to dine in, decided to go this place. This place gave me such a cozy vibe! The restaurant is decorated beautifully as well. I ordered ten zaru soba comes with tempuras on the side. Ten zaru soba tasted okay, would have been great if it had a bit more of sweetness, but the tempuras were crispy and tasted great! Staffs were really welcoming and friendly as well. I would be gladly come here again if I had lived somewhere near!

This is half eaten what this is all you get for the 25$ chicken teriyaki. My husbands chirashi was lost, and we never received the food. The wait staff never checked with us or on us, hence they missed a lot. The chicken teriyaki was overly peppered, they should call it chicken pepper with teriyaki sauce on the side (literally). I’m disappointed and sad for my husband who didn’t get to eat dinner and now we have to go elsewhere to find him food. If you’ve been to Japan, visited other Japanese restaurants, or Japanese - RUN!! Don’t even think about eating here. Not a big deal but they also don’t offer the menu in kid size or pricing.Reply to owner: Definitely not writing in anger. And we have been to lots of restaurants who make mistakes and own up to it. Customer service is always key. You could have come to our table when you discovered when the waitstaff asked for the chirashi order. But no action was taken at that time. An apology was offered but we were paying customers who didn’t get a complete meal. As an owner, a Japanese custom, ie. would have been offering, even insisting to pack up something to go at no extra cost. Or if that wasn’t an option, even offering a 20% discount off the bill or even a comp on one of the dishes. Something to show the customer that the business care for paying customers and repeat business. No matter how you feel about the situation, the customer has one view, they clearly was unhappy for not receiving a meal, and experiencing poor customer service. Everything else clearly was an add-on to what was already a poor experience. Other than the overly peppered chicken, I can say the food in generally acceptable.
