I came in last night with urinary retention and was treated very quickly. The staff, nurses and doctor were very friendly and made me feel comfortable and looked after. Once I was stable we needed to wait for results which took a very long time but this is to be expected with emergency care. The staff was working very hard to make sure everyone was looked after. I am grateful for my care at this hospital.

My experience at Mackenzie Health was great! I underwent a minor surgery in summer 2022, and Dr. R Fitzpatrick is so professional, and equally as understanding. If all doctors worked with his work ethics, we would have a great health system. He took the time to ensure it is a fairly smooth procedure, explained the procedure and specifics of what he is dealing with, and post-op he even came to see me, let me know how it went and ensured it went without a hitch. The nurses, 3 of them, that handled my care that day were incredible and compassionate. They were genuinely attentive to me and ensured I was doing well. I didn’t get their names but applause to you ladies! Thank you so much, you all really helped me to get through the surgery (which I was really nervous about).

Worst emergency ever! Took my senior mom their and the staff are the worst. So they don’t want to be there. Zero bed side manner. There are a ton of them and no one was helpful. They just left her in a bed it he hall way and no one followed up. I told them what is wrong and they didn’t listen. I said she needs sedation before ct scan and they didn’t do it, had to hear my mom scream during the test. They kept calling me in to calm her down. 5 hours and she still hasn’t been seen by a doctor! Dr greenwald was a no show! He prefers to do tests before seeing the patient????? Also, where is he? In another zone discharging patients, when can he see her, unknown! Chaos, that sums it up! They are against cutbacks because they don’t work efficiently, they are just complacent and don’t want to work smartly. What a waist of tax payers money! They don’t need more people they just need a change of process and an update to how they do things. Start from the top, the doctors first, they need to work more efficiently and care about patients and not go around on scooters from one room to the other like idiotic kids. Yes, I saw that!

There was an immediate shift in the ER when a nurse named Britney started her shift. She was terribly rude and hostile to patients in emergency. One patient asked for an update and she yelled at them in front of everyone. She said “You need to wait your turn, your time is not more valuable than anyone else’s. Go sit down.” She then kept going on to embarrass them. After the patient retreated to his seat, she was talking very loudly to her coworker and said she “can’t believe this person” and “he was so uncalled for.” This is extremely unprofessional, not to mention insensitive as these are SUFFERING patients who have been waiting for over 7 HOURS .Later on, another patient very politely asked if her test results would be forwarded anywhere. She then starts to yell at her and say “THIS IS NOT HOW THIS WORKS. YOU COME INTO EMERGENCY. YOU WAIT FOR RESULTS. THERE’S NOTHING ABOUT FORWARDING. WE FORWARD TO YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR AND THATS IT.” The patient was very clearly just curious about where the test results go and Britney’s response was completely unwarranted.I understand that emergency is not an easy place to work but let’s not forget that you’re surrounded by patients who are already in pain. I’m incredibly disheartened to see our so called “caregivers” lash out like this and not show an ounce of care in them.

I have been to Mackenzie Health (Hospital) many times. I have been impressed with the system and how helpful and professional everyone is. Their equipment is state of the art. I have not been to the emergency department, so I can’t comment on that. I have been to the MRI and ultrasound departments which all are efficient.

We went Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital on Monday, June 18th 2023 and visited the Ambulatory's Emergency around 11:30 PM. After a waiting period of approximately four hours, my mother approached a nurse to ask question , she sat at the front desk of the Ambulatory Emergency .She responded impolitely and she was so rude. Unbelievable!!!!!!! It is your job to respond patients patiently.Provide appropriate training to your staff regarding communication and the importance of speaking respectfully, especially when interacting with elderly individuals.

Emergency department , one doctor over night for 60 patients in emergency. Is this enough? Why the patients should stay for 3-4 hours!!!!Instead of getting millions of immigrants its better to take care of this part!

I went to MUCC department to see Dr Nazia Hematologist and to get iron transfusion done. Dr is super nice and nurse Lauren has soft hands in injecting needle. Very nice staff, wonderful behavior.

The service and wait time was very reasonable. With the Triage system, they prioritize emergency cases. It took only 1 hour from getting ticket number until released. Thanks to all kind staff, nurses and doctors.
