My wife and I stayed here 5 years ago. Wonderful proprietor stayed up late to receive us after our trip went awry. I felt like the room I was in was a giant hug from my Grandma. Was also fantastically priced for the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. If I could summarize as succinctly as possible; quiet, cozy, happy.

We luckily got a last minute room passing through town. It’s quaint and does the trick. It’s dated but the bed was comfortable and we felt just fine. Had a good nights sleep, showered and hit the road.

A lot of reviews say this place is dated. The Mona Lisa is dated" - this motel is downright old. You'd be forgiven for mistaking the exterior for the Bates Motel

Got there late with no reservation, but the nice owner was very accommodating. The room was outdated, (but who really cares?) But it was clean, and quiet. It also had a fridge and microwave, which was nice. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but that may just be personal preference; I still managed to have a good sleep. All in all, I'm glad I ended up here for the night :)

Looks dodgy on the outside but comfy on the inside. Nice motel (remember not a hotel) sparkling clean and dated but they have a flat screen tv, mini fridge and microwave. You'll feel safe and the price is perfect. We stayed with our baby and bathed her in the bathtub. It's that clean.

Schitt’s Creek fans will appreciate this motel! We had the fortune of coming here twice this summer. We first met the owner who founded the place in the 60s in July, and on our road trip home met the new owners from The Voy team. The decor and space is dated, but that’s its charm. We stayed in two rooms. Both were clean and fresh. The kids loved the pink baths too!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were dated and previously smoked in... but I believe they were getting ready to do renovations. Good pricing!

Knowing we would be coming into town late, we called ahead to make sure someone would be there to give us a room. The owner is such a sweet lady and stayed up late to wait for us.The rooms aren't anything fancy, but it is like staying at your Grandmother's cozy house. It was a quiet night sleep, no hassles, and a good hot shower in the morning.Would highly recommend this motel to anyone finding themselves in this small town.

Very comfortable beds, we were looking for a room with two queen beds in Terrace Bay but could not find anything available.Called into Shreiber to every motel and hotel without any luck until we called the Nor-West, they had 1 room left for our needs and they were nice enough to hold it for us.The room was exactly what you should expect from a Motel, it had two very comfortable beds and a place to drop off and shower. But it also included a lounge area with couch and chair, and a small work station. The beds themselves were also separated into rooms" which was incredibly nice

Kinda surprised this place has a 4 star rating. The room was spacious enough but smelled awful, like no ones been in it for 10 years, like musky moth balls. It was to the point we almost asked to switch rooms. Instead, we slept with the window open in -30 weather. The mattresses and pillows were hard as rock. Windows are old and drafty. There was an empty toilet paper roll in the bathroom and a pile of used soap in the medicine cabinet. Yuck.
