Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service - Station 20

Took my preschool aged daughter here today as a last minute idea. The staff we great! Professional, knowledgeable and so kind!! It really adds to feeling a sense of community. Thank you for all that you do.

We just wanted to say Thank You to all of the WFPD and especially the guys from Station 20 who attended the accident at 127 Lumsden Ave today March 16, 2013. My husband and I heard the accident and he called 911 as I went downstairs to make sure everyone was o.k. . The WFD showed up very quickly and were extremely professional and very courteous. My husband and I watched as one of the firemen started to clean up the debris left from the accident, after they had attended to the one and only person involved in the accident who was uninjured, thank God. The fireman was using a corn broom to sweep up the debris, so my husband told me to give them the big push broom to use. He said thank you very much and when he was finished returned it to us. My husband said to me that we rarely, if at all use it so lets give it to them, since they would benefit from it's use much more than sitting at our back door. To get to the point, my husband went out and gave it to them and one of the firemen needed to use the bathroom. When he was done he talked to us and my 9 year old daughter for a couple of minutes and then went back to the truck. About 4 minutes later there was a knock at the door and it was the same fireman with 2 teddy bears, one for each of my children! It made their day! Especially when he told them that they could come to the station anytime and see the trucks and get a tour of the station. I just want to say that these men and women who risk their lives everyday for us, go unrecognized far too often and on behalf of all of the people of Winnipeg we THANK YOU for all that you do and how you risk your lives for us.God Bless and take care!
