Onyx Doula

I am so happy with the support I received from Onyx Doula. Elika provided prenatal support, helping me to prepare for the arrival of my son and was there throughout my delivery and provided great post natal support. Elika is patient, knowledgeable and very good at what she does.

My husband and I chose the services of Onyx Doula for the birth of our daughter in the summer of 2021.My reasons for choosing a doula for the course of my pregnancy were many- with my main desire to educate myself on the birthing process, postpartum care for myself and baby, areas such as informed consent, and knowing the different decisions I would face on the day of birth.Elika, my husband and I created a birth plan I was comfortable with. I feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to follow (for the most part) the birth plan, and I felt SO much more confident once I went into labour. Confidence was key.Because of the sessions with Elika, I was able to create calm in the chaos on the day I gave birth. That was so important to me.I was able to use techniques learned to help mitigate the pain during labour.Onyx Doula are incredibly professional and caring.We loved our experience and are grateful for Elika.

From the beginning I felt like Elika and I had a great connection, even before I met her and I was reading her website I felt comfortable. Elika is so kind-hearted and warm which makes it so fitting for her to be a doula. All our visits were in person, fun, and a learning lesson. Justin and I learned a lot from Elika. Our pregnancy didn’t go as planned but everything she taught us came into play. I thank you and I can’t wait to have our next baby and Aunty Elika be right there❤️
