Loewen Windows and Doors

We ordered an expensive $90,000 window & door package from Ted Wouterse at Loewen for a new home construction in Vancouver. Over half the windows came with defective hardware and don't function properly. Everything was supposed to be under warranty, yet it's been six months of runaround since we moved in and they still have not come by to fix anything, despite endless promises and multiple site visits to confirm the defective hardware (apparently we're not the only ones!). Bottom line... defective products and terrible customer service. Would NOT recommend.

Great place

Made a 40 thousand dollar window order from them. I confirmed on two seperate e-mails that the windows would meet NAFS code for my building permits if I chose clear glass. It was stated in two seperate replies that the windows would meet nafs. They failed inspection by a longshot. Initially I was told they would replace the glass if it came down to it but they back pedalled and told me I could reach out to an envelope engineering company and see if they can help determine what an acceptable U-value requirement would be for your home". Completely unwilling to accept their mistake and I am left unable to get final occupancy on my home without purchasing and installing all new windows and doors."
