H&R Block

Had them do my taxes the year before and they messed it up so bad. I wouldn't recommend them at all. Took to another location and they found errors that H@R made. If you want them done right don't go here.

First time getting my taxes back, and it went incredibly smoothly. I had three t4s, and the worker helped me in under an hour. The workers there were really friendly, sociable and funny. Would highly recommend.

Got my taxes done and all I can say is: the staff there are great, wonderful and knowledgeable.Unfortunately their system seems to have come from the stone age.I could tell the staff member who helped me felt very awkward about asking me which gender I preferred to have on my form. Im used to a lot of questionnaires asking this often pointless question. (Tell me, am I eligible for more or less money back if I fall under the female option?)I felt so bad for this poor girl, as Im sure she encounters people who are less patient with such archaic practices. When she opened the drop down menu I could see she was just as disappointed by the only two options as I was and shes seen it before- imagine me, my first time encountering this.This was easily the most excruciating part of the process. Imagine that! I had 3 years of taxes to catch up on too.Also get this! When you select the male option the screen turns blue! Yep! Blue for boys and pink for girls! I felt like I had gone back to elementary school. I guess when they wanted to make taxes easy they really meant to treat us like children.We tried to compromise by selecting female (Im a big fan of pink) and put my title as Mr.No can do! Your title has to match the almighty colour scheme.After talking about this on facebook several people replied you dont have to put your gender to file taxes" which is exactly what I thought sitting in that chair. So is this just H&R block's system? Because it seems my colleagues in the LGBT dont have this issue elsewhere.Its 2020 guys ✌P.S just like to reiterate: the ladies were lovely when dealing with me

I received letters that my tax returns are under review, I called H&R block because I'm having difficulties assessing whether or not these letters are authentic (there's no record of correspondence listed on My Account, and there's errors in the letters, and they're asking for my SIN number. RC already has my SIN number). I called H&R because I had them do the returns and thought they'd be able to help me. The guy gave me the tax inquiry" telephone number

There hard to deal with. I mean not everyone has wverythjng they need to be able to live normally and can't get it cuz of situations or know how or the plain stereo typical attitude towards others . That's wrong cuz out people they stereo type against are just hurting because of it. And no one will help them out.

I have used H&R block for 10 years both in person and with their self-file tool.However I called today to ask a simple question and was advised quite rudely by the receptionist that no one there had a minute to answer my one question. And that because i self filed, I needed to call the H&R block number at the bottom of the website.When I advised that I didn't have my computer in front of me and that I just had one question. I was again advised that because I self filed I had to call the number at the bottom of the website.All for the sake of one 30 second question.

The staff here are great to deal with, had taxes done within 2 days of dropping off our documents. Highly recommend using a HR block tax expert!

Came here expecting a great refund like they always brag about and ended up 50 dollars in the hole after their fees and that was including my refund, they charged me an extra 50 dollars to open a single drop down window and enter a number into it and my actual return was pathetic...... not to mention the chaos at the front desk. Save yourself the money if you can do it yourself because you will save over 100 dollars by not going here.
