Searidge has a great program, however the facility has been seriously neglected, and the pictures on the website are from years ago when it first opened. It is advertised as a non-profit facility but with the place bringing in $120,000-$150,000 a month I find that hard to believe with there being little to no money spent on the facility or clients in the way of recreational activities or outings on the weekends when there is no group sessions or counselling. In a 30 day program clients can expect to spend 1/3 of their time with no counselling or group sessions due to no staff on site for the weekends. The outings were scarce and for the most part at an extra cost to the client. They are However the only program in Canada that offers a relatively new treatment through the McGill university that incorporates a hormone called DHEA to help with cravings, anxiety, depression, and more. I partook in the DHEA treatment for the 30+ days that I was there but when I left at the end of it I was denied the 2 month follow up treatment of DHEA unless I paid for another 2 months, It was discouraging to say the least but no surprise as the director of the facility was pretty much absent for my whole stay there, and proved to care nothing about the clients or their sobriety. It was brought to my attention, she herself had attended Searidge only 2 years ago and is still battling her addiction of alcoholism which pretty much explains the situation and the complaints from other clients saying she smelled of alcohol. Like any program you get what you put in but it’s a shame that it’s been run down the way it has and that a lack of caring by the director has had such a negative impact on the clients and other staff that work there. To anyone considering this facility I recommend getting everything in writing when it comes to your individual treatment plan and be carefully what you agree to with Caroline she’s a snake in the grass to say the least! With that said I did get a lot out of it and the other Counsellor‘a and staff were great. The support staff is also second to none and I can’t say enough good about them they were awsome!

Searidge gave me the tools to save my life. I was in desperate need of a treatment centre that would facilitate the beginning of my recovery from a brutal, and near fatal, addiction to alcohol and cocaine. It was important to me that I enter a treatment facility that offered private rooms with extremely limited intake. I needed to know that I would have my own space to process my journey and that there would be a high staff to patient ratio. Searidge provided this, with simple, clean and private rooms with a patient intake of only 12. Searidge combines physical exercise, proper nutrition, medical treatment, and group and individual therapy as part of a well rounded cognitive therapy approach to addiction. Having such a comprehensive approach to recovery was helpful and necessary. The food was delicious and healthy, which makes all of the difference in the world. The kitchen staff were amazing and kind. The medical staff offered comprehensive treatment and were caring and thoughtful. The counselling staff were phenomenal. I had three counsellors who directly changed my life forever. I am eternally grateful for their treatment, wisdom and love. A huge and vital step to recovery is having a plan for relapse and creating a post treatment plan. This was covered in detail and accomplished with the counselling staff. Post treatment is key, and Searidge offers counselling once you leave the facility. Successful rehabilitation is directly linked to the effort that the individual seeking treatment puts into it. If you are ready to change your life and put in the stupendous effort it takes, Searidge will provide the tools and support to help you achieve a life that is fulfilling and amazing.

Searidge has an amazing program but what really makes the place is the clients you are there with. The staff are amazing people who genuinely care for the clients and there progress. I spent 73/90 days there and the only reason I left was due to the two-faced snake running the center. Shes money hungry, an alcoholic and completely unhealthy for clients and staff alike. I was one of the many clients to report the smell of alcohol on her breath to Quebec (the head office) and in turn I got kicked out with only 3 hours to pack my things. Until she is replaced with another director you are safer going to a free facility. I was concerned about my safety and clients that is why the complaint was made. I am proud to say that if it was not for the support staff and counsellors I would not be alive today, but nothing nice can be said about the alcoholic director or the people running the show in Quebec. Your money can be spent elsewhere

I liked being there & many programs that I particularly enjoyed were over taken and shut down by a male resident who berating me especially about my sexuality.I was honest and foolish about the my own well being after having recently lost my partner of 34.years.Really feel that his presence is still with me $11,000 later.B

I attended Searidge for 30 days in October of 2021. First of all I know how hard it is to think about going to “rehab” but it was the best thing I ever done for myself and an experience I will keep with me forever. The team at Searidge are very supportive, non-judgmental, fun and full of so much good information to help you understand yourself and what you are going through. The rooms are nice and the food was delicious! The property was a calm, quiet , secluded spot but close to shops and rural towns. Searidge changed my life!Sober 15 months 8 days, thank you Searidge!

I finished my program at Searidge about 3 months ago. I can't thank the staff there enough, they were extremely warm and caring. I came in scared for my life my addiction had gotten so bad. Not only was the therapy great but the facility was beautiful and the food was excellent. I would recommend Searidge to anyone struggling with addiction. Thank you for saving my life!

Fantastic experience, really changed my life. I appreciated all the one on one counselling time I received and was kept busy in groups of all different kinds. I underwent medical detox and my withdrawal was easy with the comforts provide by the staff and my surroundings. I really enjoyed the private room, this made all the difference in my recovery - allowing me my needed alone and rest time. The surroundings and activities were great - made me see that I cou ld could live an exciting and productive life beyond my addiction. I would like to personally thank all the staff, from those who made the comforts of my room feel like a mini home away from home, to the excellent chefs that I must say catered to my every whim and fussy diet! The Support team was second to none and the Clinical staff were there to listen, counsel, and press me when I needed it! To all at Searidge, my thanks will never be enough, you saved my life.

It has to be the worst private rehab in all of north america. its $11k/ mth. The food sucks, you have to pay for your medications on top of the 11k. as well any outings with the group you have to pay. The Case Managers are both non-addicts, and cannot relate with their clients at all. Some Clients get drunk there and are allowed to stay. while others get kicked out for the same reason. No Doctor, No Pyschiatrist, No Gym., infact you have to go offsite to a ymca where there is a liquor store inside. Waste of Money, please find another rehab to go to, you will only have regrets going. there

Searidge Foundation is ultimately the best treatment facility that I am aware of. I Spent 6 and 1/2 weeks here and have absolutely no complaints. The staff, accommodations, food and treatment were A1. I will definitely recommend this wonderful process of learning how to deal with addictions and live a happy sober lifstyle. Thank you to everyone at Searidge for their professional care and treatment. All the best to you all as I will continue on doing what needs to be done:)Paul H.
