We had our floors sanded and coated this past week. We didn’t expect the result we got because we neglected our floors for 10 years. Being a young family with a large dog left and some damage and water damage to the floors.Klaus had repaired a piece of floor years ago and just this past week we left the keys with him to refinished the main level. The floors look brand new. My wife and I are so impressed with the craftsmanship.Klaus also recommended a way to lighten our floors to take away the old orange hue of oak. They look modern and amazing.We purchased a relatively inexpensive felt pack from Amazon and stuck the pads on every piece of furniture on the main floor. Waited four days before moving our heavy furniture back in and still have a week left to add the carpets. This allows the top coat to fully cure.You’ll find the price to be quite reasonable when you shop around. We have already recommended to a work colleague and my brother.

Before you read my experience, I'm adding these comments to address the response from Wolf Floors (Klaus) below. Klaus is extremely dishonest and his entire response is made up of lies from start to finish. First, my wife and I have never owned a dog. Second, the original floors were 10 years old and still in decent shape with only one gash in the kitchen, we don't have kids, only a cat. I don't know why he would lie that our floors were that bad, we hired him refresh the floors and to modernize the finish and for almost $7K he failed miserably, didn't even want to re-install the toilet he removed and didn't finish the baseboards even though his quote said it included everything to finish the job.Lastly Klaus did not use the premium brand Bona that he claims in his response. When he came in to re-screen the floors because of visible wear after only 3 months, I asked him what he's been using for clear coat, in case I had to touch something up. He showed me the can and said it was available in any Rona or Lowe's - it was the cheapest Verathane money can buy with the blue label and he clearly said you can't buy good oil-based stuff in Canada. Also, we didn't even own metal bar chairs that he claims we did; they were wooden chairs and we added felt to the legs the day he left, nor did we scratch the floors from furniture that was carefully placed after the job was done. In fact, the finish and then re-finish was so bad, we were afraid to even walk on the floors. Given all of these facts I suspect the positive reviews may be friends and family. Klaus is a complete liar. Now you can read about our experience before you see his made up response: This was NOT a good experience. Had to re-screen our floors after only 3 months of use and now 2 months later, they are still getting scratched just from wearing slippers. We were told only AFTER the work was done that there is no durable resin-based finish product available in Canada and we should put felt on all of our chairs and tables and expect wear from normal usage, so we did. For 10 years we had pre-manufactured hardwood with virtually no wear and tear from sliding chairs or walking and now there are visible minute scratches everywhere - that's only after 3 months. Unfortunately there is no warranty for 'normal wear' so we were told 'too bad'. The floors are only for looking, not for walking. If we were told up front that the lifespan of the finish was 3 months, we would have never refinished our floors with Wolf Hardwood. Buyer beware!!

My grandfather was recommended this company to sand, stain and refinish his hardwood floors. But the service we received was underwhelming. Our floor is bubbling and separating. The worst part is, is when we phoned to inquire on getting the floor fixed, the lack of professionalism by Klaus was baffling. He would not take accountably for his mistakes and used vulgar profanity when talking to my grandfather. Not impressed at all and will not be recommending this business to anyone, save your time and money.
