Calhoun Super Structure

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM CALHOUN SUPER STRUCTURES UNTIL YOU READ AND REVIEW MY PHOTOS OF DAMAGE !!!!Purchasing a structure from Calhoun Super Structures was a HUGE mistake resulting in the worst purchase of my life. Calhoun is the epitome of bad business with ZERO customer service, no quality control, and misleading representation of customer satisfaction on website. I voiced concerns prior about the sharp edges on the trusses to the dealer, Shanahan Structures, while it was being assembled whom assured me it would be fine. WRONG My structure was up for only 2 WEEKS before the protruding assembly creating HOLES in the cover. Repeatedly, I sent messages and photos to Calhoun and the dealer, Shanahan Structures. MONTHS had passed before Calhoun offered to “Patch” the holes on the cover or take down the structure for a 20% restocking fee. I spent a lot of money on a NEW 62ft x 168ft structure not a PATCHED one. I should not be expected to accept anything less than what I have RIGHTFULLY paid for. In all my years in business, I have NEVER felt a need to leave a dissatisfied review, until now.

Last fall, we purchased a Calhoun structure for shelter for some equipment that we couldn't store inside our warehouse. We ordered the product through Calhoun's distributor, Sunny Valley Construction. We chose to assemble the structure ourselves. Menze, the owner of Sunny Valley was very helpful in providing advice and tips that were very helpful in doing the assembly. We couldn't be happier with the end result. Thank you, Calhoun and Sunny Valley !!

Updated 2/1/23. I recently completed assembly of a 56' x 26' Calhoun CC Series building. The components seem to be of high quality, and the engineer drawings were thorough and useful in completing the process. I had one issue where the components that were shipped to me did not match the drawings, and Calhoun was quick to respond and address the problem.My 3-star review is due to significant challenges with the procurement process. My dealer quoted me an 8-week lead time when I made my deposit on August 3, 2022. I received delivery of the building on January 3, 2023. So the actual lead-time was 5 months. Calhoun missed the original delivery date, and a second promised delivery date and I was never notified about either delay until the dates had passed and I proactively reached out to the company.My primary reason for choosing this method of construction was the promise of a more rapid project timeline relative to traditional post-framing. So, obviously the 5 month lead time was a major disappointment. It also caused downstream effects with losing subcontractors whom I had scheduled, damage to accessory building components that were exposed to the elements for months, etc.If you are going to use this supplier, my advice is to really pressure-test what your dealer is promising you, and ideally get a firm commitment on timelines from Calhoun directly (not just the dealer). In my case, the communication between Calhoun and the dealer seemed to be quite broken.

Replaced the cover on our 20 year old riding arena. Great experience. Excellent communication. Great attention to detail and quality of work. Very flexible and easy to work with. Highly recommend.
