I visited the shop in Calgary today for a rod repair, talk about efficient and easy to deal with!!! Also purchased a rod case to avoid further repairs :)With this kind of service, I see no reason to own anything but Temple Forks Rods in the future.

Terrible customer service. Took 2 - 7wt flyrods, bought together, to the TFO Calgary office, after they broke. One had 4 hours on it and the other 10 hrs. While fishing for pink salmon, 4 to 6 lbs., both rods (2 piece rods) broke in almost the same place on the tip section. I told the owner, Ken, the details. He proceeded to pull a magnifying instrument and looked for microscratches on the rod. Upon finding one he said the rods failed because of the abuse to them. Really? These rods were not cheap and were babied. Did he mean that both rods were microscratched at the very same point? I never got the answer to this as he just walked away and got someone else to deal with me. I have tried to talk with him via phone to see if this could be solved on a more friendly term and all I received were the same lame excuse as before and he hung up.Both rods failed at the same place on the rod under the same conditions with a fish on. Seems more like a flaw in the manufacturing.Was it warranty covered? No, they charged me for both of the replacements.Customer service, gets a zero from me. I will never buy another TFO product as the warranty is non existent as is the customer service. Replaced broken rods with Echo and have had nothing but great performance.

I purchased a new fly rod online and it was in my hand 2days later. They threw a buff in as a thank you gift too, nice touch! I will definitely check them out again for any fishing purchases I want to make in the future!

AVOID THIS MANUFACTURER AT ALL COSTS Bought a traveler 3 piece rod from them on recommendation from a buddy. Flew to my boat in the Caribbean put it together stuck the rod in a rod holder and grabbed a beer.... The end section broke within 2 min of my first "small" tuna hitting the line.... I thought rats oh well those things happen. Flew back a month later to warrant the end and was told it was my fault. I have fished for over 30 years and never broke a rod with a fish on. They charged me $80.00 for a new end and another $80.00 for a spare. To be clear I could care less about the $80.00 it's the arrogant entitled attitude about their rod and the nonexistent warranty that I care about. In their defence once I read their warranty a little closer it becomes apparent they have little intention of standing behind their product... and I quote : "Conventional rod breakage due to manufacturing deficiencies rarely occurs. Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff at this store. I ordered my stuff online and was able to go into their store and pick up the items next day. Their rods are beautifully constructed and reasonably priced. I will continue to buy gear from TFO.Awesome company.
