Wow. What a store. What a change. I opened this store when I was 14 years old as the 49th Parallel Grocery, and to see it become Country Grocer, it is pretty cool.

Best grocery store in Nanaimo. Still gives personal service. I wanted a single bun for a sub sandwich and the bakery employee made a special exception and sold me just the one. Nice.

With prices elsewhere getting way out of reach for myself and my friends, it is so nice to find a place where food is still affordable. I went to another store last night, and the line ups were extremely long, had some products where the shelves were bare, and the food is becoming too expensive. As far as I am concerned, there is no better place to shop than Cedar 49th. 2 thumbs up for the staff. Food is always fresh.

This little grocery store has lots of Unique Bakery items. I'm always looking for different fresh baked goods that you don't find in every other store. Their honey glazed raisin bran muffins are huge and so delicious. They might even be glazed in brown sugar. I think they're my new favourite.It was nice to see that they had vegan meat choices also. The store is well-stocked and very clean. This was my first visit and I will not hesitate to go again.They even have a little sit-down Cafe area inside where you can order warm food and beverages

I personally dont care that your grey haired employee was scared and chased me around your store and then dragged you along like her puppy. the law is the law. Secondly, its not private property as you stated, by virtue of the fact that its open to and deals withe public.re: your respose, no you dont. you odviously didnt read the above.point is, you didnt follow the rules.

Great store with a wide variety of items & choices, excellent customer service & lovely staff. Great hours too.Excellent sale & clearance items, some incredible deals!Amazing store made Coleslaw from the deli, the many desserts look so good! donuts are tasty. Variety of Sandwiches look yummy.Bought 2 bunches of Daffodils here from their plants/flowers section, lovely! Great price too, so affordable.Grateful to have this wonderful store <10min away while staying in YellowPoint for 6wks retreat time.Highly recommend! Covered all my needs, closeby, awesome staff & hrs! Also lovely Nature by plaza, lake w. birds singing away):-
