Good place for kids, especially in rainy days. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

This is a big library. Lots of books, convenient spaces for kids, teens and adults. This is a good place to study.

Oh, it's a lively place to be in... really appreciate how it has been designed to accommodate people of all interests and ages not just the book lovers ... and the architect is also superb.

Normally a pretty quiet and relaxing place. Has really nice views of the city from all 4 sides!Good for studying or when you really have to get some work done. They have plenty of seats however it can get really busy so try and grab a seat as early in the day as you can.Wi-Fi is high speed and reliable.

Beautifully designed building with 5 levels to explore, where I spend all my work from home days. The air conditioner and Wi-Fi, also the quiet setting, definitely makes it a great place for work and study in the hot summer.

Top tier. Honestly best thing in Halifax hands down and 90% of it is free. Can't beat it. They constantly have things going on in the library in different rooms(everything from tax help, to concerts, to knitting circles). Coolest place ever. Super clean too!! and the only place in Halifax I've seen be respectful to homeless people. Tons of space to work or read or play. The building itself is gorgeous- with 5 floors, sky light, rooftop area and windows everywhere. Makes me feel like a million bucks to hangout there. I'm on vacation and I spent 3 days straight all day in the library. I mean it has concerts!!! Get ur butt to this library if you haven't already. Worth it. Wifi is great. Plugs are limited but easy to find if you don't mind looking. There's a whole floor for kids. There's a librarian on each floor(all of them have been amazingly helpful and kind). Genuinely a place I could spend forever in and not regret it for a second(i suppose eventually i'd miss grass).

Beautiful library with a rooftop patio! Well designed interior with ample seating to work/study/read. Easy to read signs and very user friendly to navigate through the library. Washrooms are also very clean.

I love this place especially for kids !There is a puppet show every weekend for free, the kids have a play area where they can play with different toys or enjoy reading a book also, a blocks building area. The kids' books are arranged in a nice way where small ones can pick up the books easily. There are a great CD collection and even video games area. The kids can feel that the books are part of their life playing around.They arrange for great showes in the group floor every time and then. Also there is a coffee place at the entrance.One of the best places in Halifax!
