I had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly. I was helped by the Manager Darren Wilson and I really appreciate his commitment to help me to find the best prescription glasses according to my needs. They have the best brands and best price in town. Excellent customer service! I’ll definitely recommend to my family and friends.

I highly recommend going to this Iris location if you need to get your eyes checked!I was experiencing vision problems, and Dr. Angle did a thorough examination and was able to quickly diagnose what was wrong. He explained to me what the results of the optical tests were showing, and what I should do to treat the eye condition I have, which I really appreciated.Darren also did a great job at conducting the eye tests, as well as explaining to me what products I should consider getting to help with my eye condition and why they would help.Overall, all of the members of staff that I interacted with, from the receptionist to the optometrist, were very kind and helpful. I definitely will be coming back if I need to get my eyes checked in Waterloo again!

It was my first time at IRIS and it made me regret not coming here sooner. Everyone was patient, friendly, and polite from the moment I walked in the door.The receptionist, Jan, was extremely nice and organized to direct me to where I needed to go. Richard, the optician, was very patient to do my eye tests and scans to have the best results. My optometrist, Daniela was extremely thorough with the review of my eye health, and explained everything even with all of my questions about the potential of laser eye surgery. Richard even did an adjustment for my glasses right before I left without any hesitation!It just felt like everyone working there cared immensely about their job in providing the best eye care for their patients and customers. The direct billing was also very convenient. Overall, I felt very well taken care of and would not hesitate to continue using them for my eyes in the future!

First time eye exam appt. Was pleasantly greeted by Darren and front reception, sorry but i didnt get her name. Darren was helpful and knowledgable in eye care and frame selection. Dr Angle was very pleasant and informative and thorough suring eye exam. Overall a great experience.

Had the best experience at Iris in Uptown Waterloo. Never before thought about writing a review for optometry. The staff was so friendly, genuine and provided informative assistance in the selection of lens and frames, with no sales pressure. The eye exam was detailed and explained, also very comfortable to ask questions of Dr. Daniela. The most comfortable vibe in this office and highly recommended.

To preface, I'm a young short adult that has got a very small head apparently. I was exploring several glasses stores throughout KW to no avail - 80% of the glasses were giant on me. Those that would fit me however were on the outdated side in regards to design trends, or from the kids' selection (by label) which was quite lackluster when it came to shape and variety.I had Darren help me out picking some glasses and it was lovely! They were very insightful, kind, patient, and more than willing to help me out finding just the right pair - even with my warning that I can be pretty indecisive at times. I found their selection for smaller dimensions in temple arm length(~130-140) to be a lot more unique and hit all the checkmarks of what I was looking for.Overall, if you're willing to spend a little extra (or extra time) for a solid long-term pair of glasses that you know you'll wear daily, I'd highly recommend checking them out at least!

Overpriced and unprofessional - came in to buy contact lenses and get my glasses loosened. Had a sales guy tell me my glasses look “weird” and that I should of bought off them. They also said they will only loosen the sides of my glasses depending on how much I spend on contacts. Btw this was my go to eye doctor (potentially lifetime customer). Interesting sales tactic lol

I have a very high prescription and have been to many optometrist offices since I was a kid. I can tell you from experience this was the most complete exam I've ever had, from beginning to end. The eye exam was more in depth than I've had anywhere else. Also, the staff guided me with my purchase. I didn't realize until now just how thin my lenses could've been had I been more educated in the past.
