Tracks Wildlife Control

When we discovered a skunk problem under our deck, we contacted a couple of wildlife control companies. Shane at Tracks was highly rated online and we discovered it was for a good reason. Shane came to take a look, assessed the situation, and provided an estimate that was significantly better than the competition.Shane dug a trench around the perimeter of the deck and installed heavy gauge galvanized screen -- a material much better than chicken wire. He also installed a one-way door in case any critters were left under the deck that needed to make an exit. The job was done in a day, and he didn't leave before checking in with us and letting us know about the work he did. His worksite was clean and tidy after he left -- in even better shape than before. He also called a few days later and returned to double-check his work and remove the one-way door. Before, during, and after the job, we appreciated the communication. I wouldn't call anyone else for my next wildlife issue.

We have had a skunk problem for the last few weeks. We would even see her in the middle of the day and a neighbours dog got sprayed by her in the middle of the afternoon. Then she began appearing daily around supper time. We could no longer let our dog out off leash and quickly reached a breaking point. We did some research and called Tracks after reading a large number of 5 star reviews.Shane explained that live trapping will not solve the issue and the MNR has made it against the law to move them further than 1 km from capture. The only way is to prevent access and remove them so they leave and go elsewhere. He explained that skunks will have more than one den in an area and if they have babies will move to a different den. He told us he uses a heavy gauge mesh screen around the entire shed in a down and out pattern securing it to the shed. So we decided to go ahead.The first thing Shane did on-site was to determine if the skunk had babies. To do this he used a fler gun which will show a heat signature under the floor. It worked well because the mom skunk had 7 babies under the shed. He removed them by cutting the shed floor and removing them by hand. Mom stayed under the shed while Shane did his work. At the end he installed a one way door and made a nest for the babies just next to it to draw the mom out. It almost worked but mom tried to burrow under door rather than go through it.Shane was back the next morning and dealt with issues quickly. He reopened the shed floor and coaxed the mom out. She immediately went to her babies and started to move them. Within a couple of hours all babies were relocated to another den.He also fumigated the nest under the shed so as not to attract any other animals.Today I checked around the shed and there was evidence that the skunk had been trying to dig underneath again in at least 6 locations but was prevented by the screen 100%.When we first got the quote we had a bit of sticker shock but when I saw the work Shane put in and the care a concern he had to do a good job it was a bargain. Not to mention that other companies were much higher priced. Thank you Shane!!If you have a wild animal problem, the first and only call you need to make is to Tracks wildlife control.

Shane from Tracks Wildlife Control came the same day I spoke to him and helped with my Racoon problem immediately. Although the racoon had already vacated the premises, he would have dealt with removing it humanely which is very important to me. Shane offered to come back at anytime if I heard the racoon in distress.He was professional, courteous and gave me a quote before doing any work. The quote was the best out of 5 and reasonable. He not only fixed the immediate problem but made sure any other entry points were sealed off. Called Shane last week because I’ve always had birds in the vents around this time of the year (May/June). He responded on time and found nests in all of our four vents at the very top of the house. His service was great and he even saved the little hatchlings until they are ready to fly off. He went into the attic and cleared the vents as well as put covers on the outside to prevent future problems. Couldn’t be happier with his work and I found his price was very fair. Shane was extremely responsive and was able to come the same day we called to help us. He removed the birds that had made a home on our roof/siding in several locations, and did some preventative maintenance.He was wonderful to work with and we will for sure be calling him again if we ever have any other wildlife control needs!
