My visit last week was not up to the expectation I had of a more reputable nail salon...the treatment was rushed...the technician I had cut my right foot with the grater in two places after I indicated I was on a blood thinner and she should take some care not to cut me...she assured me it was very dull...her response after they could not get the cuts on my foot to stop bleeding was that the equipment must have been new. It took the manager and the co-op to attend to me. There were no bandages in the salon. Then when all was said and done and we were told the polish had dried we put on our socks and boots since it is winter...LOL in northern Ontario. The mess we had once we got home and check was unspeakable for paying over $160 for the both of us! The one good thing was that the technician my elderly mom had was very good and gentle and thoughtful.

Got sculpted gel nails today and I was extremely impressed, the attention to detail and the care taken with their customer service was top notch. Will definitely be recommending them and returning as soon as I can.

Once I arrived at home I could see through the nail polish. It started to chip within ONE WEEK. I had shellac done on my toe nails multiple times and it last the entire summer ! I also had my eyebrows sugared and was disappointed. The girl did them so thin !! Plus I had to pluck some hairs once I got home. This visit was about $100. The quality of service wasn't there.Finally I didn't like the chairs setting. I felt too close to the other customers. There is zero privacy for the services I had. I preferred the way it was set up under Sugar Society.I sent up my impression on they're 'after visit' survey and they never got back to me.I give 3 starts because they just opened up and mistakes happen I guess. They were also very nice people.I am not planning on going back.

I’ve gotten my lashes done here a few times, they don’t last as long as I’d like them too. I’ve gotten them done other places where they last more than 2-3 weeks before I need a fill. The lady who does my lashes is super nice and kind but I just can’t seem to make my lashes last when I get them done here. Environment is calm, clean and relaxing though.

I ❤️ Mavens! Jayden & Ashley have created a warm and welcoming environment and find their services and skills, along with the girls to be on trend! The shop is always neat and tidy and I always leave feeling relaxed and taken care of! Keep up the good work girls!

I had my nails done by Ashley. I’m very happy with my nails. She payed close attention to detail which is appreciated and she’s very sweet. Thanks Ashley.

WAYYYY TOO EXPENSIVE. UNEXPERIENCED STAFF. 80$ gets you> 1 regular manicure and a cuticle cut. Usually a regular manicure would cost 20$ Max (IN THE CITY) and usually a salon never charges me more than 10$ to trim cuticles (no filing or buffing) The manicure was done terribly; no soak or scrub, didn’t remove dirt under the only 3 nails that were dirty, drew blood and there was no hand lotion, not even cuticle oil at the end. Just cuticle cut, light buff and polish. The polish was meh. I could still see the dirt through the red polish. Even after a discount for not having gotten the polish for 1 person the total still came to 70$!!! I was shocked. I almost went back until I went on the website and realized a kids manicure is 30$! P.S. they don’t offer a price chart. You have to ask them the costs and they change depending on the girl working

Would recommend Ashley for a pedicure. She was knowledgeable, personable and my toes look great!One word of caution - when making an appointment, mention if you have a gift certificate and ask if there will be any issues. I couldn’t use my gift certificate. The only downfall of a good experience.

I had a hydra jelly mask facial done at mavens for the first time, and it was wonderful. Kayla was amazing. If you’re looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience and a hydrated face, I recommend going to Mavens. I will definitely be back!

Had a Shellac manicure done by Charlotte, and she was amazing! Very professional and pleasant to talk to, I loved how precise she was with my nails. Will definitely book again :)
