We were moving into a well lived in home vacated by an elderly gentleman. The house had not been cleaned for quite some time and we decided to hire professional cleaners for a deep cleaning. The request was to clean the floors, wipe the cabinets in and out, clean the windows, wipe the walls, sanitize and clean the kitchen and bathroom. This is for upstairs, which is 1300 sq ft. The basement is unfinished and requested for a sweep. Upon completion, the initial inspection was very satisfactory as the all appears to be as advertised. However, upon closer inspection, we were very disappointed with the workmanship. The deficiencies include:- Floors were still caked with grime and dust. Appeared to have been swept and wipe once with a swifter.- Counter top was sticker around the edges- Oven was cleaned half way and can see the back half is unclean.- Some cabinets were half cleaned as streaks were visible where it was wiped and grime from uncleaned sections.- Some walls were cleaned and others still had old cobwebs- Basement was left untouched, except the den.On the bright side, the windows and bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned.We were billed 6hrs x 2 ppl = $540 for the hastily done job which could have been done for 3hr x 2 or 6 hours total time. We don't mind paying the extra $ for a deep clean, but this very disappointed with the result.We called to report the deficiencies and they were prompt to return to attempt to atone for the issues. The kitchen was cleaned, however the floors remain grimy. Had they not return, it would have been 1 star.We ended up having to go back and clean the space ourselves. We used an entire box of swifter wet (24 pack) to sweep the upstairs floor. Our expectation was for a deep cleaning service that will result in a safe and clean environment for kids to play and live in. The quality of work was far below our expectations. This was the first and will be the last time we use the service.
