Nanaimo ocean view vacation House

The stay started out great until the host changed the conditions of our stay.The property was booked correctly over Airbnb and paid for. We arrived back to the property in the evening of our 2nd night and the host came to our suite requesting $140 in cash as we had apparently not paid. He then proceeded to show us a booking from another guest saying we hadn't paid and that we had to pay him cash in the morning as he only accepts cash for the entire stay.He came back at 2:30am telling us to pay him now or to leave. We told him that we had booked and that he made an error in his listing and that he would need to fix up the listing and contact Airbnb, instead he called his son. Spoke to his son until 3:15am who wouldn't accept that they made an error and told us to get out. We said to either contact the police or Airbnb to resolve the issue. The concept of having to make payments through the service was impossible to explain to him as he wouldn't accept anything other than immediate cash payment or immediate eviction.We contacted Airbnb who said they would contact him. We finally got to bed at 3:45am and locked all the doors in case the host came into the suite in the morning to wrongfully remove us before our check-out time.The suite is comfortable with washing facilities, shared bathroom for the 2 rooms and comfortable beds. However the kitchen is very poorly stocked with no cutlery other than chopsticks and 4 plastic spoons, no basic condiments, not enough glasses/cups for guests and close to no kitchen cooking utensils.

It was a wonderful place for my daughter and I. The host is very accommodating and helpful
