Toronto Guitar School

My son, who is 8, is taking lessons at the Toronto Guitar School for 6 months, and he cannot be happier. He never played guitar before and he can now play songs he likes, and he is really excited about that. His instructor, André and Glen, the founder, are great and very nice people, always in tune with us! It's a really enjoyable and pleasant place to learn music.

Toronto Guitar School is an amazing place in downtown near Ryerson University to learn music. Glen is such a supportive person who leaves no stone unturned to ensure that his students and teachers are taken care of. His dedication during the pandemic to ensure that the school continue to provide high quality lessons was marvellous. KC Roberts is an amazing teacher and professional musician who really cares about his students improving by giving feedback about every aspect of their playing and pushing them to try beyond their current comfort levels. This place has many other talented musicians teaching as well. Now is especially a good time to finally learn that instrument by signing up with this school. Highly recommended!

Joined the Toronto Guitar School after researching different options, as I was looking for opportunities to learn and play the guitar more. There are a variety of classes including drop-ins, which make it convenient for people with flexible schedules. The classes I have taken at this school are excellent! Guitar instructors KC and Scott strike a great balance of explaining technique and getting us to play, so with every class you will feel yourself getting better. Glen, who manages the school and also teaches (vocals, other instruments) is welcoming and genuinely interested in helping people learn. Together, they make learning music (guitar for me) interesting, fun and achievable for their students.

Such an awesome awesome place to learn and be at! Everyone is super cool, friendly and knowledgeable. 100% would be my top recommend for guitar lessons in Toronto.

Fantastic guitar school. The school is very organized and cares about their students and their instructors. I have been taking lessons with James Sawyer and it has been greatly enhanced my playing. My musical theory knowledge, technique and overall passion for the guitar have substantially increased while working with James. I would highly recommend to anyone at any level of guitar.

I have nothing but good things to say about Glen & his team. I have been taking lessons and also been part of a number of different bands throughout the last year at the school. The school makes everything such an enjoyable experience. I have had the opportunity to practice vocals, guitar, bass and drums with the groups and I’ve played live on a number of different occasions. Amazing experience every time. Very professional show with live recording. I would recommend the school to anybody.

Great instructors who also work actively in the music biz. Excellent instruction, both with band classes and individual lessons. And a really nice bunch of people!!

I took the intro-to-guitar 10 week course during the pandemic! Glen and his team did an amazing job navigating the situation and I absolutely had an amazing time! I had no prior experience with any string instruments but I was able to follow the pace of the class with ease! I was worried the amount of classes wouldn’t be enough but I was very impressed by my progress over the weeks and I can tell you the 10 classes is more than enough to get you started with playing your favourite songs and continue your guitar learning journey!

I have been a student of the Toronto Guitar School for the last couple of months, taking an in-person introductory Group Acoustic Guitar class.The teachers are very knowledgable and provide great instruction for beginners to the instrument, and to music in general. Having experienced learning an instrument through online group classes and attempting self-taught approaches, there really is no comparison to learning from an experienced instructor capable of providing effective live feedback as is offered through this program.Due to the pandemic, I'd like to add that the school has been exceptional in ensuring the safety of students and faculty by enforcing mask-wearing, social-distancing, checking temperature, and confirmation of vaccine passports.Amazing experience thus far, excited to continue my music education with Toronto Guitar School, would absolutely recommend!

Best music school in Toronto! This School changed my daughter's musical life. Both the individual lessons and band lessons took her playing to another level. Very professional and very qualified instructors.
