Expensive and small selection. I miss having Sobeys. The bakery items are not always very fresh and are quite pricey. I would like to support a local store in my town, but the prices and selection send me to the city to do my shopping. I pick up a few things from time to time, but it’s certainly not my preferred place to shop.

This is my go to grocery store but as I work generally long and late hours I don’t get in to shop until after 8pm. Came in on a Wednesday at 8:30 pm and someone was already pulling all the sales signs off. I shop sales. I left frustrated instead as a paying customer.11/02/22 Update - tags getting pulled again except this time it’s 7pm, 3 hours before closing time! I used to work for a grocery store and they would never let us pull sale signs before close. Confronted the woman pulling the signs and got told they’ve been up for 6 weeks in which I know majority of the signs are weekly sales… this store has become a last resort for me.

Overpriced items. Most shop in the City before heading home to the Grand Bay-Westfield area. Same company as Sobeys which are already increasing their prices yet boast of their huge profits. Foodland is not the place to shop for large grocery orders. Even the specials are more than those at Sobeys. We drop in if we ABSOLUTELY have to pick up one essential item and want to save ourselves a trip to SJ.

Has an acceptable variety of items but prices are not what i would consider to be low cost alternatives". Doesmt carry many 'our compliments' brands. $9 for cheese slices. Give me a break"

Crazy expensive!!! When I was there on my last visit, bought some uncle Ben's basmati rice, was 3.99, went to the west side Dollarama right after and they had the EXACT same one for literally 2 dollars!! Personally, I Feel like they up the prices cause they're the only food place in this little community..

Over the last 8 years a always got a duck,called in today,because didn’t see any on my last shopping this week,response was no we don’t have any,is the store actually aware how many people like duck for any accession???a doubt it…one more reason to switch back to Sobeys even I hate to drive there. And if I do you loose a solid amount over the year…cheers
