A very interesting site!To say the least.Just of the highway of tears.Connection to steward-cassiar highway NorthI was omw to the Yukon and came across this Historic battle ground.Was a great read and nice rest area,Before you go onto hwy 37Where you will not see any people or vehicles for a very long long time.

Yes you would have to see it to experience it, and if you catch this place on a bright sunny evening it is warm and spectacular.The history of it you would have to explore for yourself.

If you've just driven down from Stewart, stop here and stretch your legs while learning some extremely interesting about the famous Gitwangak warrior chief 'Nekt. Even more fascinating is what his mother did to escape capture and forced marriage to a Haida chief, from out on an island off the nearby coast;

Short walk, it could be 15 to 30 min up to your speed with interesting information boards and nice view around. Good place to go and strech after long hours of sitting in the car
