CHARALS Vancouver, Pen Shop

One of the best pen and accessory shops I've ever had the privilege to shop at. I first became a customer almost 27 years ago. Top drawer service, and excellent selection. You'll find things here for your home or office that you won't elsewhere. I could not be more effusive in my praise. UPDATE: I visit a few times per year. Today, I visited to discover that my old pal Al, the owner, had died. I was absolutely gutted. I still shopped and replenished cartridges for various pens and the whole time I was choking back tears. He was one of the finest human beings I've ever met. His kindness was ever present and his caring for his customers, second to none. The store will carry on with his lovely wife and family. But the loss of Al will last a lifetime. May God keep his soul at rest.

You can feel the care they give to all the merchandise. It's an amazing place. The attention of the staff, the display of the products and the presentation of everything that's in the store, is just awesome. Highly recommended to visit.

This is an excellent store for high end office supplies. I came in here looking for a leather notebook (they have tons and there are awesome). I also found the most beautiful leather backpack and have been using it everyday for the last six months. Also the owners are friendly and have an adorable dog. 10/10 recommend!!

Charal’s is one of my very favourite stores. There are so many amazing things to look at and everything is well laid out, easy to find. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the products they carry are top notch! It is my “go to” shop for fine writing paper (I love to write letters). Their fountain pen supply has good variety, and they have an excellent selection of fountain pen inks (which is another reason I enjoy shopping there). I highly recommend your stopping by!

Absolutely would recommend CHARALS to anyone. I came in from out of town & the service I got was second to none. Their selection is outlandishly good; they stock everything from very entry level pens to the elite collectors editions of Mont Blanc. The staff were beyond friendly, brilliantly helpful and an overall delight to deal with! From the pen enthusiast to the avid writer these folks have you covered!

Great for fountain pens, inks, and notebooks. If you are looking for more cutesy stationery or stickers, I would try elsewhere.

Has a posh atmosphere, as expected in a store which sells luxury products such as Montblanc pens. The store has a perfect layout. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about his products, which is very encouraging for customers. Appreciate being allowed to test different products at ease. I will definitely be a returning customer.
