Electric Diner
First of all, the vibe was funky! Neon, 80s theme with some vintage movies being projected - certainly goes for a unique vibe.I ordered the Flower Power Benny - and it was absolutely delicious. The cauliflower cakes were a nice crispy touch to the meal. The only negative was I felt it was light on the smashed avocado - it is advertised as part of it, but I felt the actual serving of it was small in the Benny. This is a very minor detail, but I still immensely enjoyed it and would recommend. Went half and half on the home fries and a salad and also was pleasant. Service was great too - although there were many tables empty due to reservations that showed up a bit later and we were offered to sit by the bar - which was still great service.I would definitely recommend going here !

Went to all day breakfast today. I ordered the Usual with two eggs, rye toast, two pieces of bacon and coffee. My coffee was Luke warm, my home fries were cold and hard. One actually flew off my plate when I tried to pierce it with my fork. They were definitely made earlier. Eggs and bacon were average. My daughter had The Boy George Sandwich with fries and Apple juice. Her fries were delicious! She said the sandwich was just ok. She didn’t eat it all. That says a lot because we were both very hungry. We had to wait a long time to be seated because the tables are upstairs, there was no one working downstairs. The menu did have a good selection of vegan options.Really cute dinner, good service, maybe we just caught them on a bad day.

A group of 8 of us went for brunch today at the James St. location. All of us loved the vibe and the atmosphere. It is just a fun place to be. Everyone that worked there was super friendly and extremely accommodating. The menu had a variety of items that would fit anyone’s tastes and dietary restrictions. Overall, we would say that the food was good. The service was great. We loved the movies that were playing on the screens. Parking is a bit tricky because you either have to find a place to park on the street or get lucky and find a spot in the parking lot.

I had an amazing brunch experience at this place. The jukebox had an excellent selection of songs that added to the overall ambiance. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to others.

The vibe is very fun inside. The service is very fast, and the servers look like they are enjoying their job. I got just a poutine for a small snack and it was huge. Definitely a great place to come back too.

What a cute spot. Retro hip and full on girly pink vibes that is great. The staff here is equally fantastic. The menu is not large but you can easily find something for everyone. I love how there’s a vegetarian option without sacrificing flavour. My Benny was delicious and the salad wasn’t an afterthought. I know Bennys aren’t healthy but this never felt heavy or greasy. I could wish the potatoes were crispy but minor thing. The place is super busy for a good reason so it’s not recommended. It’s a medium small spot so a medium sized group would have a hard time getting in. Most tables are for 2

12/10!!! Honestly the absolute best diner I have EVER been to! The frites are to die for, the burger was absolutely astounding and don’t get me started on the wrap - my god, so filling, so incredible, the staff is super friendly and everything is super retro diner!!! The booths are comfortable, the upstairs has a projector playing classic 80’s films, there’s a retro jukebox too! Super cheap/great prices as well!!!

Electric diner has always been a great atmosphere with fantastic food. I have only been to, as well as ordered takeout from the George location. I am excited to someday soon visit the new location as well. The staff are always on point. The food is always off the hook. And the drinks are always heavy on the pour. ;)Bring back the holiday tent that was so freaking adorable!

Went here with my family for dinner and at first it seemed like a nice restaurant, the art of 80s movies was cool and creative. The restaurant is quite echoey, so a it’s a very loud environment. But I get that’s out of your control. But you know what is in your control? The food. I ordered the classic fried chicken burger, when I started eating, it was fine, but quite bland, which goes for most of the food there. Everything was fine until I got to the middle of my burger and was greeted by undercooked chicken, they didn’t come by until they came to ask about the bill so I couldn’t say anything about it, I regret not finding someone to inform about the rubbery uncooked chicken. For food that was under cooked it’s quite expensive. Not worth the money. On top of that the chocolate milk my younger sibling ordered was powdery and barely mixed. Maybe you should work on making sure the stuff you make is fully done before giving it to people paying a decent amount of money to eat there. Thanks for making me feel like I have to vomit.
