25 mins is against the law to make people wait for a train. Disgusting.

Waiting 30 plus minutes for a train to go one way stop, then go the other way, stop again… thus is ridiculous! Terrible planning!! Perhaps the unloading dock can be put a km down the track

This is the absolute worst train yard. Constantly blocking the road, causing massive headaches and causing dangerous drivers to travel around side roads at high speeds. I travel this daily and want answers to why this is the way it is. I have sat for 20 to 30 minutes waiting. The train goes back and forth and sometimes sits back of the road allowing the lights and guards to still go. Last night we were blocked back to the 401 coming southbound. Do something before someone's killed. What of an ambulance needs to get through?

Worst rail crossing imaginable. So unbearably slow for drivers.

Constantly blocking tracks for upwards of 5 minutes, with tons of bs driving backwards and forwards. This is against federal law

Just moved into the neighborhood above the yard. Although i was aware of the train and can deal with trains coming and going, I am finding that trains sit there on the tracks idling for hours on end all day and all night. This was not always a problem and only seems to have started in the last week or so. The Idling noise is a low frequency hum that can be felt and heard all day and all night. There are regulations about train noises Under section 95.1 of the Canada Transportation Act which in this case are being ignored. CP, You need to fix this ASAP! There is no logistical reason why a train needs to sit there idling for days on end when there are so many tracks at your disposal.

Something needs to be done at this railway crossing, waiting 15 mins to over 1/2 and hour is absolutely unacceptable, why would you make people wait with the gates down when the train is so far off to one side and loading or shunting or whatever, at least give people an opportunity to pass until the train is moving closer to the gates, Trussler is one of the only main ways in and out of Kitchener to go/get from Brant area. Pleeeeeeeeeeeease tell me there is something in the works to fix this situation, i guess until an ambulance has to take the long way around in an emergency will someone finally say hey we need to do something!

Train crossing is broken. I understand there is a yard right there, so while it’s irritating to wait for an entire train to cross at walking speed, it must be accepted as part of life. Sometimes we have to wait for trains. What I cannot accept is waiting for 30+ minutes when there is NO TRAIN. The gates stay down, flashing, even with no train in sight in either direction. This has happened multiple times. Today had the longest line of cars I’ve ever seen waiting at the crossing, waiting for NO TRAIN.Fix the crossing, something is wrong with it. There is no way it is operating as intended. If the sensors cannot be fixed, remove the gate so it becomes a “stop-then-proceed-when-safe” type crossing with just flashing lights.

It is illegal to make people wait more then 5 minutes for tracks to be covered. It is federal law. This yard risks the safety of all civilians by their inconsiseration while loading carts. Making people wait up to 20+ minutes. Multiple times a day. Most specifically every work day at 5pm? Or weekends mid afternoon? High traffic times and no consideration.Take the arms off of this track so when they are loading km down the track we can actually get bye! Where is the regulation or enforcement?! Please change your ways!
