Yared Afework and his management team Blair Goodman and Risa Nyhuis at Alair Homes Surrey are a pleasure to work with. All three of them are easy to communicate with and always full of positive energy. As an electrical contractor it is our role at Sunscape Electric Ltd to provide our customers such as Yared and his team at Alair with electrical services and installations for their clients. I know first hand these guys work hard for their clients getting the best service and value from subcontractors such as ourselves. Their standards are high, their follow up is consistent and they make our job easier by providing strong project management skills. Overall, I would say if I was personally hiring a custom home or renovation contractor for my home I would hire Yared and his team. They are open and honest, reliable, transparent, easy to get along with, have a passion for what they do, and knowledgeable experts in the field of residential and commercial renovations and new construction. I recently had a 3 1/2 month renovation completed on my rancher which entailed moving out and removing all of my furniture, stripping out hardwood flooring, tiling and carpeting as well as decommissioning existing plumbing. The plan was to instal a new high tech radiant heating system, new hardwood flooring and tiles throughout, new domestic hot water boiler, remodel of our existing en suite bathroom and fully upgrade all insulation.Christopher Stiles and Alair Homes Surrey were recommended as project managers by the manufacturer of our planned new heating system and I’m delighted to say, Christopher exceeded all of our expectations. He prepared an extremely detailed budget along with a complete design review of all of our “wants and needs” and offered many useful suggestions along the way. One of which was a complete review of our en suite bathroom to accommodate “aging in place” details such as a wider entrance, walk in shower with easy clean glass and relocating the toilet as well as integral shower seat and several grab bars. His design ideas far surpassed mine.This was quite a daunting project which we had talked about for a couple of years and which created a lot of stress during the lead up to the start. Christopher however was able to maintain an air of calm and professionalism throughout.My wife and I felt at all times that Christopher was on our side whenever issues arose and was fully cognizant of our budget and schedule for completion. We received detailed updates every week and subsequently had very few surprises. I have no reservations in recommending Christopher and Alair Homes Surrey with any construction projects and I would certainly engage them again.

Our experience with Yared Afework at Alair Homes in Surrey was a good one. He is new in the business and we were his first renovation job. From our experience with Yared we believe that he will only get better and more efficient as he gains experience. We used Alair Homes Surrey to renovate the main floor of our home and add an addition to the back. Through the whole project Bobby and the Alair team were great.
