Absolutely our favorite trail rides in the area. Beautiful view of Waterton mountains and the surrounding valley. Tons of animals and even the local cows nearby. Very professional. Kids needed helmets but they're all new and you can bring your own.

Waterton River Trail Rides Ltd.
When we recently visited Waterton, we discovered Waterton River Trail Rides and it became the highlight of our vacation. I booked the 1-1/2 hour ride (which included several times through the river) with my two grandkids and we all loved it. From start to finish, the owners made the experience very professional, positive and fun. The horses were beautiful, very well trained, and safe. We also enjoyed the gorgeous local scenery. It was a special once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A peaceful ride with great horses and a great guide. We love finding horseback riding that's more relaxed. This was a family ranch and we did the 2 hour ride all over their property. We got to go thru rivers, see a bald eagles nest, a moose. I would really recommend coming here. My kids were 6&8 and did great. Thanks Maddie for being such a good guide and answering all our questions!

I would give 10 stars if I could! Hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had. Being a first time rider, I was a bit nervous for the first couple of minutes, but that soon dissipated and became a very relaxing and enjoyable ride. The horses are well trained to follow the lead horse, and stick to the path. Please make sure to wear full length jeans, to avoid the shrubs brushing on your legs. Absolutely beautiful and stunning ride. It was a very romantic afternoon with my husband and we will do this again the next chance we get.

One of the best experiences my wife and I have had. The view is beyond description. Rides were some of the cleanest and well trained horses I've been on. If you don't take this ride you are missing out.

Royce is a gem! A very kind individual that is passionate about what he does. The horses are beautiful, well trained and taken care of. The 1.5 hour trail is breath taking and gives you an opportunity to experience downhills, uphills and walking through water. This was my second time coming here and I will certainly come again.

In June 2022, we did a ride with Royce. My wife is horsey (we're from Wales) but I'm not, and I never ride in UK. I loved the ride, and I said to Royce that we'd see him in 2023!! Hopefully, I can get in contact with him, and arrange a ride for this weekend!!

Full marks! Royce took the four of us on a lovely 1.5 hour ride. The horses are beautifully trained, well cared for, and very responsive. Two of us are complete beginners and we quickly gained enough confidence to enjoy our ride. The ride through the river was fun and we saw a bald eagle and the nest pretty closeup. My kids are now hooked on horseback riding and we would definitely come back!

The best place to go horseback riding! This is my second year coming here and I wish I had discovered it sooner.Their horses are so well-trained and you can tell they are all taken care of wonderfully. To top it off, the staff are incredibly friendly and always up for some great conversations.Next time I go, I will definitely be doing the sunset ride, as I've heard great things about it!
