I have been a personal training client of Laurie’s for almost 4 years. She is always prepared, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Laurie goes the extra mile to fit the workout to my needs. She encourages and supports through both good times and those times when you really don't feel like working out! She never hesitates to seek advice where needed. Most of all, I enjoy going to personal training sessions with Laurie. I feel good at the end of it. Laurie’s specialty is women over 50. I have often told others that it is really nice to have a trainer who understands the “older” woman’s body.

I met Laurie soon after having my youngest son. I was in need of a personal trainer who could work me back into shape gently. As my fitness level evolved so did Laurie’s fantastic training sessions. I’d never felt stronger.After Mat Leave, Laurie put together a small group class that I could do on weekends. All of us at a different level, she was able to challenge each individual appropriately.

I’ve been working out with Laurie for several years now and have participated in both personal and small-group training sessions with her. When I first started, despite years of working out elsewhere, I had never (in my definitely 50+ years) been able to do a full push up! After a few months, Laurie had whipped me into shape so I could do 20. Without stopping!Laurie is caring and thoughtful towards her clients. She understands that everyone is unique: different fitness levels; different goals; different motivational styles. Laurie adapts her approach and designs her programs to bring out the best in everyone. She’s very cognizant of any injuries or limitations her clients may have, and she’s always sharing snippets about nutrition and overall wellness, as well as fitness.She will work you hard or take it easy depending on your needs and capabilities. I know she keeps challenging my muscles in new and interesting ways – I think she may own shares in Epsom Salts! I wouldn’t miss my sessions. No matter what your fitness level or experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Laurie and 50+ Fitness for Women.
