This place is a gem! We tried burrito bowl, papas asada and It was super tasty. It definitely felt fresh and of good quality.We had take-out and they forgot to add cutlery, and our mango salsa. But they were very prompt in helping us when we went back. The place is so busy we totally understand it might happen.Overall loved the vibe, helpful staff and yummy food. Can't wait to try moreP.s. - they also have additional parking spots at the back of the restaurant, someone told us as we were trying to find a spot!

This was honestly the best place for Mexican food I have ever been to; let alone in the city of Hamilton.People rant and rave about their competitors around the city and all I’ve experienced is cold food and horrible quality.My friend and I visited Maria’s for the first time today and I can truly say I’ve been blown away. Everything is delicious, simple but also packed full of flavour, textures and all over a fantastic experience. I would 100/10 recommend this place to anyone who likes REAL food. They make everything from scratch from the salsa to the SOUR CREAM. It was so lovely! I will be coming back and bringing a few more friends!Thank you so much for such lovely food! Your staff were incredibly polite and hard working. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped in! We loved the music and the atmosphere, we had a blast!

The best steak tortas I've ever had! The sandwich was so tender and flavourful and the toppings offered just the right amount of bite. The chorizo quesadilla with the mango habanero salsa was absolutely delicious as well. The birria tacos were good, but the consomme is what made it amazing. Don't forget to get yourself a Mexican coke too!

It's a nice place for some good Mexican food. The decor was nice and they had Mexican music playing on the TV the whole time.Although we went at a time between lunch and dinner when it was less crowded, by the time we left the place was almost full.We had to wait 15 minutes to order because one lady was placing an extremely long order. There were other people waiting to order and pick up their food as well. It would have helped if one person of the staff had looked at getting orders for the other customers instead of everyone being huddled around that one customer.Having said that, I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the place. One of the guys kept clearing dishes from the tables immediately. He was also serving food and I noticed that he changed his gloves every time so 10/10 for that.We ordered the tortilla soup which was watery and had tortilla chips missing from it. The esquites (street corn) were nice but a little salty. The chorizo torta that hubby got was just ok according to him. My veggie enchiladas were a good portion size and delicious. I got them with the mango habanero salsa and that was the best! The horchata was prepared at their drinks counter and brought out when we sat down to eat. I would definitely go again to try a few other dishes.

Had the birrieria beef tacos and they were outstanding. I got them with cheese but next time would leave that off as the beef and consume were so good the cheese wasn't needed. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Will be back!

How do you know Maria’s is good? Take a look at the crowd coming in. Maria’s recently moved location and the one thing they could have fibe is move to a bigger location as it’s busy! You can tell as the sana grill guy is going crazy with all the traffic for Maria’s lol.Staff are authentic, attentive, patient and polite. The restaurant is bright and happy with great decor. The foot traffic makes it hard to clean the floors but you’ll get a clean table. There is someone cleaning the tables all the time.You go in, place your order and they give you a number to put on your table. After a while your food comes to you. Pretty simple.It is authentic Mexican cuisine. Except some heat. No spice still equals to some spice. The food is outstanding. Lots of Gluten free options as well. I am taking their word got gluten free hoping they are educated on the subject. The nachos are excellent as are the tacos. Ingredients are fresh and wonderful.

Our first time trying this place. Awesome - great job. We had the Naked Burrito and the Beef Tacos. They moved next door. We almost missed the new location as we were looking for the yellow sign. The new sign is blue. You gotta try this place.

Great authentic Mexican restaurant in the Fruitland area! This place is easy to miss if you are driving on hwy 8 but you'd be glad if you tried it. Food is great and fresh tasting. Prices are decent are service was friendly and quick. We tried the recommended Birria and they were really tasty. We also got 3 other tacos to try- chorizo, barbacoa and carnitas. We got the recommended traditional toppings with salsa verde a mango habenero. The taste was really good. The parking lot is quite small and can be an issue during lunch hours on weekends. We will return.

This cute little restaurant is the best spot for authentic Mexican cuisine! The food was unbelievably flavourful, fresh, and delicious! The birria is a must, as well as the cheesecake!! Staff were kind and helpful. The space is brightly decorated and made us feel like we were stepping into Mexico on a cold winter day. We will absolutely be back, and will recommend to friends!
