Frilly Lilly

I have been going to various frilly Lilly locations in Calgary and across Canada for over ten years. I have never had the desire to try anywhere else because the staff at frilly Lilly are so friendly and professional. The wax they use is different from traditional wax, they don't put any paper on top of it. It's very gentle! I was super pleased with my last wax and will continue to praise this franchise!

Maria at Shawnessy did my Brazilian bikini wax today and she was excellent. A lighting fast, comfortable experience. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

I had a great experience at this location, I was slightly nervous about how accepting the staff would be of a guy coming in for waxing but I was welcomed by staff and had a really good time. I would definitely recommend making an appointment for yourself! I 100% plan on returning soon.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: You are a waxing studio that cannot shape brows, end of story. You do not provide the services you advertise. I was not asking for anything weird. Be honest with your clientele when booking and you can avoid poor reviews.Approximately 2 months ago I made an appointment to have my eyebrows waxed. When I booked the appointment I explained to the person answering the phone that I am looking for them to be shaped not just cleaned up. We set up the appointment. I arrived on time and was brought back to the waxing room and advised that they do not shape eyebrows only do clean ups and I would have to go elsewhere. Since thick eyebrows came into fashion I have struggled to find a place that will listen to what I want and do what I am asking for. Nothing out there, just a proper, thinner shape. I have since found a brow studio that does an amazing job. I have also discovered that I was set up at frilly Lilly with an esthetician that specializes in Brazilians. The staff I dealt with were all very nice. I pin the failing on the management for not properly training their front of house staff. They should know the skill set of the estheticians who work there and schedule clients accordingly. They wasted 2 weeks of my time and I left in tears. Do not recommend this place at all.

I would not recommend coming here for eyebrows. The lady was nice enough, but my eyebrows came out very uneven.She did not bring the tint down over all of my hairs on one eyebrow, making them look extremely asymmetrical. She did not overdye sparse parts for symmetry either. Once I got in my car I noticed a lot of missed hairs as well.
