Someone convinced me to go 2 years ago. Good thing! The longer I am there the more I realize how important this community is to me. Yes there is stellar teaching, yes there are dedicated leaders, yes there are a variety of different activities for different levels and interests, yes totally accepting of different abilities..... It’s a great school with great classes, but.... Janet Shihan’s growth mindset inspires us all to be better human beings. She just happens to use Karate and Arnis as some of her tools. She will see to the heart of you and help you find what you need to grow and she will poke at it until it does. You can’t get that anywhere else.Just an example-2 days after Covid Social distancing started 6 Tigers went 100% online. Every class went online, from the tiny tigers to the black belts. We just roll with it! No one needed to skip a class.

My son has been going to this dojo for as long as it has been open. It isn't just a dojo, its a family. It's one of the only places where he truly feels at home. There are so many committed instructors who live and breathe the martial arts. They act as strong role models to the kids, not only in karate but also in who they are as people. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people there!

This is the type of karate school where you are not told the conditions for grading right up front, but somewhere down the road. And where you are told such conditions, you will feed disturb. My brown belt son skills were praised" for months

6 Tigers Academy is a clean, spacious facility where the I structors create a special bond with the kids. Getting to know each one individually and help them grow in their technical skills, leadership skills and life skills. My son absolutely loves his training and always looks forward to each one of his classes.

Our entire family started with 6Ttigers eight months ago at the encouragement of a friend. She promised us an environment where individuals are celebrated for their strengths and encouraged to achieve their personal best; Where with hard work and dedication (and the help of some awesome senseis), anyone can become a black belt, regardless of physical or mental limitations. We’re proud to be members of this dojo. With a family member(s) in Tiny Tigers, Children’s Karate & Arnis, and Adult Karate & Arnis, we have been impressed with the quality of programming and overall community feel of the dojo. There is truly something special about coming to train here. I attribute that directly to Janet Renshi’s attitude that everyone matters, no matter your belt level, age, or ability. Janet and her team are amazing with the children. They have been welcoming and accommodating since we started with them 4 years ago. The classes are engaging and fun. The instructors are organized and encouraging. I have recommended this dojo to many family and friends!

6tigers has become family to us. My son started karate with Renshin Janet 2 years ago, when he was 4. He absolutely loves it and begs to come as often as he can. He learns patience, perseverance, physical literacy, how to handle bullies, street smarts and bonding with other kids of all ages.They are welcoming to everyone, of all abilities and backgrounds. They adapt their programs and classes for children with special needs. Seriously, they are such a welcoming, supportive and inclusive community. I can't recommend them enough.

We would give 6 Tigers 6 stars if we could! Awesome Dojo. Professional instruction with just the right amount of fun to keep kids engaged. This Dojo is the place to be if you're looking for kick-a$$ female role models. My six year old daughter is always asking if it's karate night; karate has quickly become her favourite activity!

We have been with 6 tigers since they opened and with Janet since 2012. We have 2 of our children in the youth program and have just started out little guy in the tiny tigers program. Janet is a truly amazing person and we trust each one of our awesome team of Sensi's with our children and know that they will be taught the skills of karate extremely well, but also life skills such as respect, perseverance, understanding and acceptance for others. They will carry these skills with them into their adult life.

I wanted to take moment to thank Janet Shihan and her absolutely incredible and dedicated instructors for their amazing efforts in these unprecedented times. Weekly / Daily classes online for Karate and Arnis and Tiny Tigers have been a a huge blessing for our family as we navigate balancing home schooling and extra curricular activities. We have 5 kids and 4 of them are currently enrolled in her classes, ages of 8 (twins) a 7 year old and a 4 year old. Our 1 year old will start as soon as she can start kicking! Thank you so much 6 Tigers for opening your Dojo online virtually to our homes. If your looking for a community experience that becomes a family experience, this is the Dojo you want to be at for your kids and your family to develop skills and a sense of community It is truly amazing!
