Cunningham & Rivard Appraisals (Nanaimo) Ltd.

I have used Cunningham & Rivard for personal real estate transactions and in the course of my work with Loaves and Fishes Food Bank. Their prompt professional service is why I keep coming back to them. I have have found their reports to be detailed, well laid out and most importantly accurate. I would not hesitate to recommend them for either residential or commercial appraisals.

Paid $386 for an appraisal of my home which they refuse to give me a copy saying that I must get it from a third party who they gave it to and who refused to release it to me unless I contract financial servises with them. I wanted their appraisal to evaluate whether it was worthwhile to complete three renovations by improving the value of my home. This company never indicated that I would only get the appraisal I paid for if I contract with this third party lender who I gave all my financial information to. Never was I told that was the only way to get my copy. Deceiveng and blind-siding paying customers, then refusing to deliver the product I paid for is ridiculous.

Unfortunately when Bob Flemming was there they were very highly recommended by others and us. Now the new owner has some questionable ways of conducting himself and conduct from my personal observations. Please avoid using them, they have done 5 appraisals for me.

Worse experience ever with Mr.DAVE MATKOVICH.Absolutely not recommended!$400/ apprasail fee,and the appraiser appraised2 new bed room+ 2 new laundry room+ 1 kitchen+ electrical upgrade= $4k increase in value.Basically waste of money and time.

Called these people 3 months ago about getting a commercial appraisal done. Left messages. 3 months later I'm starting to think they're not going to call me back as promised. I guess they have enough money and business already. Unprofessional in the extreme. Save your time. Just call someone else. Unless you LIKE being ignored, in that case, these are your people....Follow up....The appraiser I was told would call me NEVER EVER DID BOTHER...For what this stuff costs I should not have to chase you...

Very unprofessional phone etiquette. Unfocused when setting up an appointment. Does not take COVID precautions seriously. We cancelled our appointment and will not use them ever in our lifetime.

We have always enjoyed working with Simon and the C&R team for our business and personal projects. While they are in high demand, we find them very accommodating to help us with both formal and informal 'what do you think' evaluations.
