Excellent. Quick, efficient, detailed inspection and a very useful report. This is the second time I have used Homecrafters.

Our inspector did the job quick, but after moving into the house and hiring some contractors and trades to do some of the repairs he suggested, we realized there was A LOT that was missed in the inspection. I was really shocked and disappointed. The home inspector was polite and respectful, but he got through everything much too fast (an hour and a half), and now I know why. I wouldn't recommend this company to any friends of mine.

Thanks to Ken Beagle and HomeCrafters for a job well done. The inspection was very thorough and informative. Ken answered all my questions and provided a detailed report on all the major components of my home. I would highly recommend HomeCrafters to anyone looking for a home inspection.

Ridiculous is the only way to describe this company. Let me start off by saying the only reason we hired an inspector is because we did not know a whole lot about warning signs or anything of that nature. This man came in, and for almost $400 he was in an out in an hour, and this was one of their most experienced inspectors Ken Beagle. He ha said he checked every plug, and every switch and made sure every light came on, LIES. The previous owners had taken a wall out in our house and the switch for the dinning room was run in behind a cabinet and left inside the cabinet. It took us 2 months of trouble shooting and we ended up taking a section of the roof out to chase the wire to find it running into the cabinet so we finally have a dinning room light. He said nothing of this. One plug-in upstairs we have no power to, and even with a volt meter connected to it and flicking every switch in the house to see if we can get power to it and we can't. He lied about this as well. Every single plug-in in our shotty basement renovation is not secure to the wall, so if you try to plug anything into them you end up pushing the socket into the wall - Thanks again for that Ken. You would think for $400 he might say hey guys

Jim is exactly the kind of inspector you want when buying a house. He inspected two homes for me. Both times he was 15 minutes early and got right to work. Within the first 15 minutes of the first inspection, Jim brought to my attention some major issues with the home that my realtor, partner and myself missed. Thanks to Jim's expertise, we avoided buying a home that would have cost us a lot of money to repair. Jim is very thorough and goes through the entire house as well as up on the roof and in the attic. He takes photos of everything he sees and prints off a professional initial report in the home at the end of the inspection. He then sent a finalized version with photos the next day. Jim takes the inspection that extra mile by explaining how everything in the house works and tagged all the emergency shutoff valves. His fee is comparable to the market and I will be recommending him to all my family/friends.

I have been in contact with Jim Hamilton, the owner of Homecrafters and we have come to a resolution over the issues mentioned below. I want to thank Jim for his assistance and for going beyond what I would have expected from a company. Jim and I were able to come to a resolution that we are both satisfied with.WARNING...DO NOT USE!!! I spent $450.00 to use their services and we have been in the house for about 6 weeks and I have to put in over $10,000.00 worth of repairs on items that they should have caught. I called Jim Hamilton and all they did was point to their Limitations and Liability clause. They have NO CLUE on how to do a proper home inspection. They have NO CLUE on what proper plumbing looks like, they have NO CLUE on how to actually look for potential issues. Ironically Jim Hamilton, the owner, did the inspection. What they should have found was the following:- Back yard BBQ Gas Line CUT, not capped - DOES NOT MEET CODE - not mentioned in report.- Plumbing in Kitched Sink - done wrong - DOES NOT MEET CODE- Infloor Slab heating installation - need to replace tank and DOES NOT MEET CODE- Furnace fan not operating - motor making a whining sound - NEVER MENTIONED in report- Basement shower taps have back pressure - NOT MENTIONED IN REPORTI could have negotiated something off the price or walked away during the home buying process. Thank you Home Crafters for your poor service.

Does not paying attention to details. Kitchen faucet has obviously been leaking for a while as rots started to develop under the sink and bathroom faucet also leaked when in use, but they failed to pick these up. There were signs of water ingress into the basement but also missed. Inspection comments about the roof was that the 'condition is consistent with its age...whatever this means!!! Bad inspection; would not use them again."

This experience was terrible and I would never recommend Homecrafters to anyone. I hired them to inspect the condo I was thinking of purchasing because I do not have the knowledge to do this myself. Based on this inspection I bought the condo only to find out the inspection was worse than useless, it was dangerous. The inspector, Ken Beagle, indicated only a couple of minor issues. Within hours of moving in I found out that the ensuite bathtub did not work nor did the fan above the stove. There were several faulty electrical outlets. The plumber I hired was unable to find the main water value shut off. The worst was the fireplace was releasing carbon monoxide that I only discovered because I bought a monitor. I paid $430 dollars for 2 hours of the inspector's time and the report he gave me was completely incorrect and untrustworthy. I would not have bought this condo if he had not told me all was fine. When I contacted the company they did not want to hear my concerns, they told me to talk to Ken himself. When I did he did not seem the least bit concerned, did not offer any explanation or compensation for my now having the hire a plumber, an electrician and a gas fireplace technician and, instead, basically blew me off. My advice, do not use this company!
