Smoky Lake Inn

We were there for a hockey tournament team dinner. i understand it was busy for the restaurant, a lot of kids and parents. multiple orders were missed and mistakes were made. I also understand. however, if you forgot something, please just be honest. please don't assume i ordered something else.other than that, food was ok. the fried chicken and beef chili were very nice. salad was a bit salty.

I just stopped in for lunch, so I can't speak for the actual 'inn' portion. But I can tell you that the lunch I had was excellent! I got the western fried chicken and a carrot lava cake (with cream cheese filling). Both were absolutely delicious!! The chicken was crispy and juicy and the cake was moist and flavorful.Also, though I didn't drink because I was driving, the very friendly waitor made a 'smoked old fashioned'. It was very cool to watch being made and it smelled amazing!

Waited 10 minutes just to get someone to come give out us menus and ask for our drink order, waited another 5+ mins for the coffee and water so we left. Apparently the left over partiers in the lounge were more important then me and my son trying to get breakfast. Not impressed! Especially for a historic site.

Good food. Good service. Did not stay night so no info on the room. I will go back

We came from Calgary to Métis Crossing and went into town for dinner! The food was phenomenal! It was the best clubhouse sandwich I’ve ever had! The ham and Turkey were oven roasted and absolutely delicious. The penne and pizza were amazing as well! Highly recommend!

I recently ate here a couple of times.The first time I had the friend chicken and it was delicious. The service sucked however. Our waitress took forever to bring us our drinks and take our order. Food took a while too. The restaurant was not busy at all. Only a few customers.I came back again last night. I ordered the hamburger with a poutine as my side. The burger was ok but I could tell the patty was probably not a house made patty. They offer a bison burger that is house made. I should have tried that instead. The poutine was really good even though gravy was used and not poutine sauce. At least it was real cheese curds.My friend ordered sambuca shrimp and teriyaki stir fry. He said it was all really good.The service was much better this time around being served by a different person. He was great at recommending food to try!

Only stopped for drinks. Place was nice. Service was good. Can't speak on the rooms. Cool that it's always 5 o'clock here. Time for beer

Tried the lounge/bar on Saturday afternoon. Waited and waited, no server around. The server then became too occupied with a Skip the Dishes driver to be able to serve any tables. We left after the table in ahead of us was still waiting 15 mins for their first drinks.
