The Nelson House Bed and Breakfast
We booked in very last minute when our flights shifted by 13 hours. Marla and Darrell were very hospitable and happy to help us out. Our stay was excellent from first communication to waving goodbye at the door. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated and the house itself was just so lovely. Breakfast by the window was delish and dietary restrictions, even at the last minute, were easily met.

The Nelson House Bed and Breakfast
My wife and I stayed here our first night after flying into Nova Scotia. It was a reasonable distance from the airport, and VERY cute. Marla and Darrell greeted us with warmth, made us feel at home and were so welcoming. Marla cooked the most delicious Belgian waffles I've ever eaten, and her hollandaise sauce is to die for! Do yourself a favour and book a stay at the Nelson House. Our only regret is only staying for one night! Next time we are in the province, we will be staying longer for sure.

Would give 6 starts if I could!Owners helped us out when our car broke down on the side of the road. Amazing breakfast and comfortable stay! Loved the Blue Jays and friendly conversation!

The Nelson House Bed and Breakfast
Lovely home for a few nights. Small town near by with not alot to do. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Room and bathroom were clean and decorated nicely in an old Victorian theme. Lots of great conversations and ideas to travel to with Marla. Breakfasts were tasty, hot, healthy and nicely presented. Some train noise at night.

Loved our stay here! Very quiet and cozy place to rest on our way to Halifax. We loved the atmosphere and our hosts were wonderful. Everything is well appointed and clean and breakfast was fantastic.

We loved our stay at the Nelson House! Marla and Darrell are amazing hosts and two of the nicest people we have met on our travels. The property was about a 15 minute walk from the bus stop and was easy to find. We would definitely recommend the Nelson House if you need a place to stay in Stewiacke.

The Nelson House Bed and Breakfast
We thoroughly enjoyed our short yet sweet stay at this b&b in Stewiake. The hosts are very welcoming and they cook up a mean breakfast ( we had eggs Benedict and they were delicious). Our room was bright and comfortable. Slept like a log! We stayed here in order to catch a morning flight out of Halifax airport but it would also serve as an ideal hub for exploration of the area. I highly recommend this establishment.

The Nelson House Bed and Breakfast
We have stayed here twice and both times it was wonderful. The grounds and home are beautiful. The owners are friendly and kind. We have stayed in the Victorian Room both times. The bed was comfortable and the room well equipped. The Wi-Fi worked well and our private bathroom was modern and spotless. The breakfasts are wonderful. They started with a lovely poached pear and then your choice of Belgian waffles or eggs Benedict. Both were excellent. They serve Canada’s best tea, King Cole, which is still made in the Maritimes. It’s only 25 minutes from the Halifax airport so it’s closer than downtown Halifax and it a lovely village setting. We will be back!

The Nelson House Bed and Breakfast
I have never personally stayed the night at The Nelson House but I have had Breakfast there and have known them for years. Marla and Daryl are proud owners of this establishment and run it so well. You would be lucky to stay in this beautiful B&B!!
