Hakim Optical Brantford - King George

We bought 2 pairs. One was out of stock, but an employee made several phone calls and found the exact same from another location. Overall good service, except in handing out lens cloths and bottles of cleaner! We practically begged for one of each.

I bought 2 pairs of glasses (regular and sun) at this Hakim. I've never bought from Hakim before. I found that my regular lenses were very hard to see through due to reflections. After 5 months they were thoroughly scratched up and difficult to see through (the type of scratches you'll see when watching TV); the optician looked at them and told me there were no scratches (although they could be seen if you hold them up to the light), and told me I'd have to pay $670 to get new lenses. I am now wearing my old glasses, that I had for 3 years, with no scratches.In all my forty odd years of buying glasses, these are the worst set of glasses I've ever bought. And usually I would get my lenses replaced, at no charge, from other retailers (even when there are minor scratches).

This review has nothing to do with the staff there as they have always been friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I have gone there for over 17 years and bought a number of pairs of glasses. Three pairs every 2 years. I went to get my new glasses on Tuesday. Only to find out they no longer give the seniors discount. Not nice on a limited income. Must be different management. Moving in the wrong direction.

Sales people are very rude. Terrible customer service. Both my husbands and my glasses broke in weeks, went back and had terrible customer service, wouldn't warranty mine which were only 3 months old.Dont waste your money or time here.

Walked in with no idea where to start. I liked the lay out how they were scattered and made me choose on style then brand. They have a great deal for a pair of glasses including lenses. Hakim held my pair for 2 weeks before I purchased them. Will return if needed.

My family has been getting our glasses here for years. The girls are ways helpful and whenever there has been any issues with fitting or repairs they have always done them for us when possible..This especially nice whenthe kids were young and needed their glasses adjusted many many times!

Have been dealing with them for over 20 yrs. now. I have MS and have optic neuritis. I wear both contacts and glasses. I have never had an issue and am always treated excellently. Won't go anywhere else. Will always recommend them. Thank you for the great work you do.

My initial review was very negative (1 star). To make a long story short, the lenses that I received were of a much lower quality than I thought I had ordered.. They provided a very narrow band of vision in my progressive glasses.Within 15 minutes of submitting my review I received a phone call from Scott who was the Regional Manager for Hakim. The phone call came at around 9:00 pm while Scott was in the USA on business. He indicated that he personally receives every review and wanted to resolve the issue to my satisfaction.After discussing the situation with Scott he submitted a request with the West Brantford store to replace my lenses free of charge. My first pair were returned to me 1 week later and I'm extremely satisfied. I have absolutely no reservations about returning to Hakim based on the exceptional service we received from Scott and would particularly like to recommend Barb who works at the West Brantford store. She took a personal interest in making sure we were satisfied and was very open and honest when helping us to select the frames.

Very bad experience, infact the worst experience. My husband had an appointment for his eye test and they said he needed a mask. He forgot his mask and asked them if they could give him a mask and they bluntly said that they dont have a mask to spare. So he had to return. I understand that mask at some places is mandatory, but it's pathetic when you don't have a mask to spare to your customers when they forget one and they have to return back without their eye test being done. Would never recommend anyone to this place ever.

At first was great, found frames that I wanted from Cambridge, I believe! When went in to pick up my two pairs, was disgusted. The woman told me when I picked up my glasses to remember to ask for a free lens cleaner. Which I did. Then when I got it she seemed angry. Two cases, two pairs of glasses, but only one lens cleaning cloth. Asked for another one for my other case and she said no!! Really. Of course after I paid. Will never go back there again!
