Seen a Podiatrist there for a planters wart, guy made me feel like I had some incurable disease, told me I probably had a weak immune system took a scalpel to it for about 5 minutes, said “I think I got it” then proceeded to walk out of the room so quickly that he was already out of the door before saying have a nice day. I understand that he’s gotta make his next appointment but definitely not worth $60 and not worth the time, been going to this clinic since I was a child and it’s sad to see how much they’ve given up quality just to increase its revenue

Today I spent 4 hours trying to track down the root of a problem, which turned out to be caused by this clinic. They claimed that the issue was the fault of the pharmacy, and they asserted repeatedly that their records clearly indicated the doctor made no error. Later, they revealed that they don't actually have complete records, and they don't actually have a copy of the prescription they'd been describing. I eventually got a copy from the pharmacy and brought it to them so they could see I'd wasted 4 hours on this because they had lied. It was then that they went into great detail about what caused their records to be incomplete, but didn't see fit to apologize for the lie, or the hours of work it took to track it down. The correct time to tell me you don't have complete records was in the 4 emails, 3 visits, and dozens of attempts to reach them by phone. That's just my problems today, but before today I have had even more problems. I had a family doctor here, but he moved away and they never told me, which means that I'm now not allowed to schedule any appointments here, only walk-ins. They get my prescription wrong EVERY time, always entering the wrong medication, dose, or quantity, and just letting the pharmacy fix it. Most recently, I had to argue with the doctor to convince her that one medication exists in the format/dose that I have been getting it for years. When I was seriously injured, they told me that today's doctor can't help me, but made me wait 30 minutes anyway so that doctor could confirm it, and tell me that I would have to return the next day. When I arrived at the scheduled time for that, they made me wait in the lobby until 40 minutes after my appointment, and refused to let me rest in the car in less pain. They have a doctor who refuses to see me because I annoyed him 7 years ago, making it even harder to get help at this clinic. I keep coming here hoping they will redeem themselves by just having a couple visits in a row not be a complete nightmare, but it seems my loyalty is horribly misplaced. I don't trust them anymore.

Accessibility: 10 starsWe don’t have a family doctor and this clinic has been our go to with 2 small kids.Booking & wait times: 4.5 starsIt’s not perfect. But it is one of the only clinics in the burnaby area with a possibility of same day appointments, a true walk-in clinic. Have never had success with online booking system. If I go in person at 7 and get a slot up to 25, it is usually faster. If I get above 25, even if come home and go back when it is 3 patients before our number, it takes about 60-90 mins wait (May be due to regular appointment starting at around 10 or 10:30 am). Key is to go in early and to get a lower number on the list.Doctors: 4 starsHad to meet a new doctor in our last visit. Can’t diagnose or discuss based on health concerns that we got diagnosed by other doctors in the same clinic. Just diagnosed the current concern and left. When I discussed about recent past concerns(from a month ago) the doctor said she doesn’t have context and left. Experienced doctors are good. Through they are in rush as well, they wait listen to concerns and answer/recommend/prescribeFront desk staff: 4 stars againThey sound a bit strict/rude at times may be because of the volumes of the patients. But the senior person who handles walk-ins is super hard working and they waste no time.Overall have had good experience.

This clinic runs a pretty tight ship. Though it can still be difficult to get a walk in appointment unless you're very timely, they at least make the process easy by having online booking, and once you're actually there things run pretty smoothly. I've often waited over an hour for a prebooked appointment at other clinics, but here I usually get into a room right away. The staff are also quite friendly and helpful. Overall a positive experience for me given the relative differences between this and other walk in clinics. This is the only one I've ever felt the need to leave a review for, actually.

I feel so fortunate to have this clinic and my family doctor, Dr. Pesantez. I originally went there as a walk-in patient 3 years ago and luckily got in with an amazing doctor. The clinic is great because the support staff always get back to you via email pretty darn quickly! For example, I was going for a blood test, misplaced my lab requisition that I got a couple weeks ago and they emailed me a new copy within an hour of requesting the requisition again. Additionally, it is so easy to book appointments online and they have your name online once you check in for an appointment so you can leave and come back but I usually don't have to ever wait long for appointments. Love the options for phone & video appointments too. Overall a well-run clinic.

The clinic used to be better when you could actually call in and talk to someone, or when you go to the clinic after 8am and actually get a walk in appointment. If you don't get there right when they open you will probably get turned away and told to come tomorrow at 7am. There shouldn't even be a phone number or an online booking system for walk in's if neither service is actually offered. The doctors are nice but you can tell they are also rushed and overworked.

I just had a phone consultation with one of the doctors there inquiring health check up. She basically told me to go back to my “original country” to get the tests done as the medical resources are scarce here.I’ve been to Canada for 25+ years which is way more than the time I lived in my “original country” (per her words). Canada is my country.Poor doctor quality. Very disappointed.

I recently went and saw Dr. Pesantez for the first time at Kensington Medical Clinic and I am so grateful I did! She listened to all of my concerns and took the time to talk me through them. She showed genuine care and reassurance, and she explained to me everything I needed to know in a way that was clear and informative. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Pesantez, and cannot thank her enough!

I had a doctor here write me a prescription over a phone medical appointment . When I hadn’t received it 24 hours later via email, I reached out to the clinic and was was told I must pay $40 before they would send it to me. When I asked why I was being charged for a prescription when I never have had to before it was radio silence. I heard nothing back. I then contacted Doctors of BC, economics division to question why this clinic is charging for prescriptions. I was told that they can’t. Under the Medical service plan of BC, prescriptions, referrals and requisitions are covered. They were quick to respond to that information when I emailed to tell them I was having an investigation opened on them through the Doctors of BC.They refunded my $40 and send the prescription right over. All I can say is be wary and know your rights.

Booking review, I tried booking for my daughter for the last couple days @ 7:00am sharp - fully booked already? If system is re setting it everyday @ 7:00 am as per their staff and website, how come I cannot book? Woke up before 7 but whole day booking is booked @7:00am? Is this a system glitch? Also, they have a phone no. but no one will ever answer a phone call at this location ever. This is not just coming from me but my neighbors as well. If this clinic has staff - no one has the time to answer calls for the whole day and just plain cold email replies?
