Kari is a quality dog trainer. Can’t recommend her enough

Took my 3 month old puppy only once.After Keri kneed her straight in the chest to “teach” dog from jumping and yanked VERY hard on the leash as a demonstration of how to control the dog; I knew this is not the place for us.I gave it a 2 stars because she did answered all of my questions.At the end however, I felt that it was a wrong approach for my dog. I believe in positive reinforcement and understanding that puppies need patience and repetition NOT punishment for a dog acting like a dog.I did take my puppy to another place and couldn’t be happier. She learned so much more in 10 minutes of training than she did during our one hour session at Star Dog Training.

Kari was able to teach us effective techniques to control our Cooper’s behaviors and teach good manners. They are techniques that we took home, continue to work on and work in everyday life. Was impressed with the progress Cooper made after just the first session.

Kari is a great trainer. She explains what to do and demonstrates how to do it! Our dog is much better behaved. We will continue to go back for refreshers!
