It's been a few years since we visited, but when we did we met Mona and enjoyed touring this old house that serves as her shop and a bit of a museum. Lovely to see all the textiles handmade by her and other Fogo Islanders.

This is truly my kind of shop. Everything is handmade (gorgeous and with quality) and you get a bonus museum experience as you browse. Bought an apron, booties and a strip quilt made by Mona. Thank you Dona for the great service and keeping my husband’s lost wallet safe! You sisters rock.

We approached the shop and parked. They came out and said they'd be right there, as they lived next door. The shop opened and we were given free reign to browse. We bought a quilt and jams and other souvenirs. Really nice little shop.
